This is my very very first time making a mod. I'm super excited. However, I need some ideas of the simplest things to make. (I'm still very new to BeamNG.drive. Not even half a year.) I would also need guidance in modding.( I'm not even 14 yet)

If you know how to use blender, you may want to start by here : https://wiki.beamng.com/Introduction_to_Vehicle_Creation

I need some ideas. I will slowly learn in the wiki. Anyway, thanks for the link. Will start the work during the end of September. ( I know it's a bit too early... )

Before doing anything, do a simple cube, or something like that, just to understand how everything works ;)

I'd start with skinning, then license plates, then map making using the world editor, then continue on to custom map making and vehicle creation.

^This, start by making custom skins for vehicles, that should keep you busy for a while since it's pretty involved, as you get used to editing files you'll have more of a handle on what goes where.

Start in the wiki, introduction to the skin system

What kind of skin would you like?
I had a dream of making a Malaysian taxi skin mod.
    --- Post updated ---
The first mod: see the upper post
    First car mod: Honda Fit/Jazz
First mods of mods mod: Hirochi Sunburst 1.5 Inline 4
First License plate mod: Malaysian license plate

These are plans only. I will make a final decision on what to make, and which first on middle September.

There's something wrong with this thread: you ask what to make, but you never made a mod and have no idea how to??? It's like someone make a thread about a wip mod, when the work isn't even started. My advice: Make something you like, we see that you can make something, then ask what does the community want and not dissapoint someone with a promised mod that will never happen then.

You may want to look at the top posts. Maybe I should put this off for some time.

Make a fully jbeamed cube to crash into. If you succeed, you can surely move on to something more complicated.

Yeah, I created a simple cube a while ago, and I learned all about how the game works, and jBeam, texturing, etc. Then lengthen it to become a rectangular prism car, and learn about hydros and suspension. Keep adding on until you have learned enough to make a real car.

You need to create jbeam files

    Example:

    open your notepad

    Leave the file empty

    Save as -> (NAMEHERE).txt
    now replace .txt by .jbeam:
    (NAMEHERE).Jbeam
    click save

    Tadaaa

My series of polls showed that the community wants a 2nd gen Chrysler Pacifica-style car.
