I realize the speed at which cars are developed, and the fact that gabe also has had ideas for a car similar to this at least in the planning stage, but it's still a decent concept once a few more varied cars are into the game (due to this car's similarities to the Moonhawk). However, this is a car useful for many characters and situations: 1. pimps, 2. private detectives, 3. bank managers, 4. gangsters, 5. corrupt cops; plus it would certainly be impressive to have a car chase with something this large and ungainly.

So, meet the 1971 Burnside Bacchus* a full size, RWD, BOF, personal luxury car from the last days before emissions put a stranglehold on power and before quality plummeted. The drawings have general dimensions on them, and the only feature not apparent from them is the concave (like a 71' Biscayne/Bel-Air/Impala/Caprice) rear window. It's inspired by the Lincoln Mark III and IV, the Cadillac Eldorado, the Buick Riviera, the Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and the Imperial Lebaron Coupe.

The 1971 Burnside Bacchus features a 448 cubic inch V8 with dual four-barrels and 10:1 compression producing 360 gross hp (270 net). It has a three speed column-shift automatic and an anti-lock rear differential between the rear drive wheels. Despite weighting 4800 lbs it can get to 60 mph in 8.9 seconds and pull a quarter mile in 16.1 seconds. Granted, fuel economy averages around 11 mpg.

Binders (power, of course) up front are discs, in the back anti-lock drums. Stopping distances from 60 average about 193 feet, with notable rear wheel hop. Steering is power recirculating ball. Front suspension is coil and McPherson struts, rear suspension is leaf.

It's got a 128 inch wheelbase and an overall length of 220 inches, riding on 15 inch wheels with white sidewall tires. The interior is button-tufted leather with real wood applique and a designer timepiece. Front headlights are hidden beneath the full width grill, and the rear turn signals are sequential. Trunk space is about 19 cubic feet.

*Bacchus was the Roman god of the grape harvest, wine, ecstasy, and hedonism. I thought it appropriate for such a gluttonous car.

So we're seeking the return of the Gavril Burnside, huh..

A Lincoln Continental lookalike is awesome.

Gabe has thought of something like this, and he's worked a little on a 50s era Burnside (mostly inspired by a Buick, if I recall).

Packardcaribien, I swear you should work with gabe. You have some good ideas.

I'm going to make a Bruckell Albatross at some point which will be very much like the car described in the OP. Here's an extremely terrible 10 second sketch I did of it over a year ago:

As for Burnside: she'll make her debut in BeamNG as a 1953 model year car. I've already got the shell modeled :D

Can you make a blog post about it some time like you did with your other cars? :)

See, that's pretty much a straight GM A or G body coupe from about the same time as this. I'd go for something slightly more daring/garish, to make it distinctive from the Moonhawk, Bluebuck, and Barstow. Whether or not the continental hump from a Lincoln and the hidden headlamps from an Imperial are the way to do it (as I have done) is questionable.

Hello! It seems that you are not very familiar with the rules of this forum. As you can see, the last response on this thread was in 2014, and, by posting something here, you have just bumped this thread. Keep in mind not to do so in the future, as it will make you unpopular amongst forum members.

If it's going to be a leaf spring full size car, my vote is for a sub frame with a torsion bar suspension setup that weighs somewhere between 4.5k and 6k pounds. Preferably with the infamous "Beam" in the very front of the frame... Not that it'd be like, the ultimate wrecking machine or anything, but sounds like something I'd be interested in!

It's the concept list, which means the devs considered it, but it's not a promise it means nothing without other evidence that it is being worked on.

Also, this was a bump, and I'm not sure forum policing a post from 2014 is the best idea.
