I haven't built a car to run this year, but they are raffling off a stock class Vic north of me, so I went ahead and bought a few tickets.
I drove a real car for the first time today (finally), it was my friend's 2013 Camry and I drove it around the church parking lot. Looked just like this: I never had decent hardware in driving sims so I had a little trouble at first braking/accelerating smoothly
I had an interesting evening. While at the mall near my house, I found a parked (brand new, just a few months old as I later found out) Aventador LP750-4 SV Roadster. I stayed around long enough for the owner to return. Instead of simply driving away, he ended up staying around for almost an hour, or more, showing me and some other people around the car, revving the engine (my ears are still ringing, and that was 2 hours ago), etc. He let us sit in it, and even took a couple people for a ride after (sadly not me ). I may not be a big fan of modern super cars, but that doesn't happen every day... That guy was really nice, not quite who you would expect to be driving one of those. Maybe it's just a Canadian thing? Spoiler: Pictures
This amused me somewhat. 3 of the camera crew running away while one guy just stands there like a boss getting the perfect still image 48 seconds in
R35 GTRs are dam cheap for what they are. You can buy an early model for less than a brand new Mustang GT in my country.
First one is a HK Holden sedan. You can tell by the grille it's a HK, later HG and HT models shared the same body, but the grille was changed. Spoiler HK HT HG Also, sitting behind that malibu, I spy an MS130 Crown
67 HK Kingswood sedan, sad to see it over there. I would love to bring it home. Also, this crash is pretty crazy https://www.facebook.com/DashCamOwnersAustralia/videos/vb.527827413943570/1478678845525084/?type=2&theater https://www.facebook.com/DashCamOwn...827413943570/1478812595511709/?type=2&theater
damn, can't believe she came back and t-boned them as well. I wonder what the court case will look like.
Doubt it will look any different to any other accident. Since there was very likely no malice involved.
I doubt there will even be a court case involved. I'd say insurance will handle any vehicle/property damage & some council fines will handle any road signs damaged
Two little old Asian ladies just walked out of the men's room on the ferry. They literally didn't care at all and it was amazing. EDIT: Thought I was in General Discussion.
Random rant but why would someone pay $300,000 for a late 60s Monaro? Mind you we are in a period where people are paying over $100,000 for vw Combi vans (I wonder what "ganja" they are smoking)
Collector market. Forcing teenagers and 20-somethings into FWD commute turds since like the 1990s or something. May be heavily responsible for the automotive weeabooism I ranted about earlier. Believe it or not there was a time in this country too where an old muscle car, even a fairly decent one, was a used car and was priced accordingly. Then collectors came and started driving the prices through the roof and now all the young people tune Hondas instead.
