I mean if its only a few buildings its no huge deal. they can always put some sort of construction site in their place.
Juicy info you want, juicy info you get. was browsing BeamNG community hub on steam and bumped into this, This was posted on steam where someone asked about the update. there was also another post I can't find with similar info anyway. You're welcome
I mean it was sort of obvious that an update will come sooner or later. I hope it will come out before the end of the school holidays.
He didn't say soon, he said "not too far away". That probably means a week or two, but he slightly exaggerated it just in case it takes longer. But delicate details? Maybe optimizations... Just remember, NO HYPETRAIN! Don't get banned for stupid behavior.
"Delicate parts that require just a bit of time to make sure they work fine." The first thing that makes me think of is the D15 tow truck for some reason.
"Not too far away" leaves quite a bit of room for speculation, but I think that 0.10 will come within a month from now, probably mid-August at the latest. Strangely enough, despite being very likely to get a new map and (possibly) a new car, 0.10 isn't generating as much hype as 0.9 ever did. Maybe it's because the Bluebuck (which I think is another likely addition) is very similar to cars that we already have in BeamNG and the Hopper was so unique from everything else that we already had that a great majority focused their attention on that. However, even though a month may not seem like much time for the devs to get everything done, I think that the vehicle designers could potentially finish the Bluebuck in that time. Still, it's all quite up-in-the-air right now.
Oh, it's creating hype. But I'm hoping that the community has matured enough and learned it's lesson from past updates that they are being more responsible about the hype.
Well, maybe I should have clarified what sort of hype I meant. I meant more "hype train/spamming/both of these" and less "responsible and mature enthusiasm, speculation, and discussion over certain tidbits of information revealed by the developers". So far, it's been more of the latter than the former, which is good to know, I suppose. OT: However, it will be interesting to see how the development of WCA has affected the rest of the game. After all... -WCA was made in a completely different way than any other map. -WCA happens to have a lot of stuff to run (a city, a motorsports facility, a mountain, and much more). -WCA also happens to be the first true city map in BeamNG. This may mean that we will see some FPS improvements in other maps, allowing cheapo 'puter users (like me on my $400 Dell which can run BeamNG quite well already) to have a much better experience. Also, judging by the use of signage and many new textures and models within WCA, this could mean that the other maps (like ECA, Utah in particular) will be updated in probably 0.11/0.12 with the new stuff made for WCA. In a way, WCA/Italy are like the two big maps that are going to improve the overall experience in BeamNG a LOT, which is very good news for many community members currently struggling to get 30 FPS on ECA with a single car, let alone 4 or 5. Also, this could signal that maps like the Port and the Derby Arenas (which are currently somewhat lacking for overall content) could get some new parts like a seaside town for the Port and some bigger, faster, more exciting derby layouts for the Derby Arenas, which would be excellent for these two maps, as they don't really have much of a use for me.
Same here, but with driving school stuff. If this update comes out when I'm busy with my driving school stuff, I'm gonna cry.
The irony. --- Post updated --- If we're going to get a tow truck, I hope it's one like this: (Took this picture from a distance on a freeway, don't judge the hazyness) Instead of the classic tow rope. It would be harder to implement, but more fun.
I love how "beaned" has come to mean "banned" here. I imagine ban notices looking like this: OT: that "delicate part" Nadeox says they're working on might be the dynamometer. IIRC it was rather finicky and that's why it wasn't released.
