A Covet with 4WD? Really doubt it, unless the devs suddenly consider the Covet a Civic Wagovan with RT4WD, which it isn't.
Am I the only one to be slightly worried by the lack of vehicles such as trucks or buses ? I know we already have the T-series and some mods are coming, but I like having some diversity (not to complain, but I felt like I had to say it, I feel like people are focusing more on cars). I think I do remember the devs saying they would do more trucks in the future thought.
I am VERY worried, where is our modern 4 door sedan? Where's our Minivan, why are ambulance lights not as bright as police lightbars, also wheres our modern pickup?
Sunburst is that, 1999 Pessima is (somewhat) that. No need to be worried stuff will come in time. Just takes a lot of time...
For accuracy sake, I hope the Bluebuck is available with a 2 speed auto, just like the Burnside. For most of GM's cars (even the Corvette), the only available automatic was the 2 speed powerglide until the TH350 came out in either 66 or 67. Big GMs used the Powerglide until 71, and the Vega used it until 73! Interestingly, the PG Corvair was just as quick and economical as the standard 3 speed, but for whatever reason the Corvair lacked a park position. The Ford-o-Matic was a 3 speed, but it started in 2nd (unless you selected low) until the early 60s. Of course, I hope the Bluebuck has all 4 options- a 3 speed and 2 speed auto (for more basic models) and a 4 speed and a 3 speed auto for higher end and performance models. 4 speeds were just beginning to become an option in the early 60s. That would be great. The Oldsmobile mod has a version that simulates structural rust really well. Also add a slipping auto transmission or a slipping clutch. Yep, and I think that would be a great fit for Italy. Not sure if this post is meant to be facetious, but I think most can agree that another modern sedan would be a welcome addition. I'm not sure why the ETK is Wagon only, even in europe they sell quite a few sedan 3 series. I'd like a RWD, but that may infringe on the ETK's territory. Something bigger (Charger, SS/Commodore) would be nice but we have enough large cars. A midsize transverse FWD seems like the obvious choice but that sounds a little boring...
All of you excited for the new maps and cars and I'm over here like.... Where is the DYNO at? @tdev @Diamondback @Nadeox1
@Nadeox1 That was back in September, last @tdev updated us. I'm wondering if there is any current progress.
Guys, stop mentioning the devs. It makes them think there is something important, so they stop what they're doing and check it. The more you mention them, the longer the update will take. OT - No more impossible gear shifts! Now we can have real races without cheaters using no clutch.
I agree with the fact that we shouldn't shitpost for nothing and don't tag the devs unless it's something really, really important, but you honestly believe that them reading the message has ANY effect AT ALL on the update? How much time do you think the actual programmers spend reading the stuff we post here? It's mostly Nadeox1 who reads cause its part of his job to do so. Him reading your posts does not affect the process of developing of programmers doing their work. Yes other devs come as well, but I don't imagine they do it like "oh man I've got so much work to do, ah never mind, I'll just stop what I'm doing and go read some silly comments on the speculation thread, that will surely be productive!". It's more like they have a spare minute while drinking a cup of coffee and eating a biscuit and if they're feeling like coming here, they'll do it on their free time/when they're not too busy. I'm sorry if this looks angry or anything, but this is like the 100th time that somebody says that devs reading a forum thread has an impact on their productivity. They're not children, they have schedules to meet. Your tags won't change any of that.
As far as I remember, the dyno was meant to be an experiment only, to see if such a thing could actually be made in the game. That means that it may not come to BeamNG at all, and if it does, it's likely going to be included in the career mode (which I estimate to come out in summer of 2019 at the earliest), so it's likely going to be a looooooooong time before we get the dyno. In other news, what I've been noticing is that there's quite a large number of interesting and amazing parts for the vehicles from standard that aren't used in any standard configurations. The best example of this would be the ram plow, which was added all the way back in 0.4.3.0 (in November, 2015) and only just now in 0.9 (in April, 2017) being used in an in-game T-Series configuration. Other parts like this are... *Miramar 1.6 DOHC engine *Covet Stage 1 turbo, Selecta skin *K-Series 4-cylinder diesel, race drivetrain parts, race suspension *800 Series *Barstow race skin, Stage 1 superchargers for the 291 and 353 V8s, Stage 3 supercharger for the 423 V8, and 6-speed race manual *Quite a few of the Moonhawk skins and the Stage 3 supercharger for the V8 *Burnside Stage 2 and Stage 3 superchargers for the 423 V8 *Grand Marshal Stage 1 and Stage 3 superchargers *1988 Pessima custom livery *Hopper Beam Safari skin ...and likely many more that I forgot about. Between all of these parts, I see at least 20 new configurations that could potentially be added to BeamNG in 0.10 or later. However, has anyone considered that there may be a campaign in 0.10 (or whenever West Coast comes), centering around WCA? This likely will happen, considering the possibility for having a massively varied campaign where the player character takes his old D-Series over to Belasco to try and race against people while earning more money from deliveries. It could also be a bit Fast-and-Furious inspired, as the franchise did start off in California.
