So I spawned in about 15 propane tanks on ECU, and put them along the road. I closed BeamNG, then a few hours later, I play a different map, then I get back on ECU, the propane tanks are STILL there! I am very confused??

That happened to me one time, too. I spawned a hopper and a '96 covet (aka EG6) and when i got back they werein the same place that i left them. no ideia why this happens.

Did you do anything while in the level editor? Did you save accidentally? Afaik the level editor can save vehicles into the map, so that they are still there when you load the map again.

In the day that happened i played with somethings in the map editor trying to rotate a Rollover Sled, maybe that saved the cars there.

I actually duplicated the propane tanks, so that might be the issue.

Sounds like you saved the map in the editor after placing the propane tanks.
That means that the game will load your save, instead of the original map now.
You can delete your save from Documents/BeamNG.Drive/levels/<levelname>

By opening the world-editor, and saving the map.

// Don't do that on official maps, or bad things will happen! Never modify & save over an official level \\

Just copy the file into documents, rename then edit the copy

What you save in the editor is automatically saved in Documents/BeamNG.Drive. It never actually overwrites the original files.
Althought keep in mind that if you do that, the game will always load your modified files over the original one. (Documents folder has priority)
So if you need to go back, you need to remove (or move) your modified files.
