Quick tip xD make use of the manual gear box and, most of the time, don't even accelerate, just get the gear in and let it go.

At least 5 tries so far. With each one I crash into a tree not even a quarter of the way around the track -.-

I found keeping the engine revs around 3600rpm and not exceeding 20mph in first gear I got 2.5 laps in which isnt too bad considering I was using the terrain to help me out with the fuel consumption problem with not using any throttle on the way down hill and only using it when I needed to

Believe it or not, I drove 4 ½ laps! I never reved more than 2000 RPM and never used more than 25% throttle, drove between 20-30 MPH. I guess this is a benchmark

CVT track configuration on JDM's mod I have just completed the first lap (have paused game) with 0.29 units of fuel left, and this includes the fact that it took the first part of the lap to get used to driving it economically. When cruising I tended to average 50mpg but along a few very gradual downhills (too gradual for it to be worth letting off the gas as drag just slowed the car down too much, I'll come back to this) I hit upto 100mpg. The downside seems to be acceleration, mpg while attempting to pull away from a stop reached single digits and uphills were also very poor.

I've got a rolling start for second lap and some experience so I'll unpause now and report back.

4 laps and then rolled to a stop shortly beyond the building around the corner. Doubtful a 5th is possible.

Cut back the amount of gas you use. My 1.2 is really economic. Uses a lot less fuel than the 1.5.. Does the CVT outperform the 6mt in fuel economy? Hope it does. Would help serve its purpose

I was using so little that on a few occasions BeamNG seemed to confuse my very light touch to the xbox trigger for me not touching the trigger at all.

    I didnt try the 6mt.

I ran out going uphill on my second lap.. Using around 1500-5000 RPM and topping out around 50mph. I'll try again.

The fuel consumption is what I was talking about. Instead of .4 make it .35

The games handling of auto's doesnt seem to be quite perfect enough for CVT simulation. I think the car put up a valiant effort regardless.. I've laid down the gauntlet for the CVT anyway, anyone is free to try and beat it.

~2:00 for the main challenge.. cwazy/jdm
~4.5 laps for the grandma challenge

Yes! I think I'm going to try this and propose a fuel level for the vanster
