WIP Offroad Pickup

Just started this, probably shouldn't make a thread so early but whatever, been planning this thing for months now. Will be using most parts from my hopper pack, just adapted to fit the D-series pickup properly. Nothing fancy here, but this has been requested by many people ever since i first started the hopper pack. Here are a few pics, for now i'm working mainly on the suspension. Oh i almost forgot... will come with 4 wheel steering just like the hopper had

 

Will this be justa kinda small mod or another pack?

could u make a custom shorter bed to add on with this mod?

 

So with the steering axle its the same as the front axle just the driveshaft is going to the transfer case then to the engine for 4WD or both axles have transfer cases then the driveshaft leads together. I'm not sure since I'm used to 2WS & 4WD suspension i can understand using different suspension parts from other cars which should help with strength i believe but good job and i can't wait to do a flex test.

fuck yes jack hopefully this will fix the truck steering to one side with anything other that independent suspension when you lift it

 

PLEASE don't make this a standalone mod so that I can mix this with other mods and the D- series vanilla parts!! Also can you add 4 wheel steering to all frame sizes so that I can make my crew cab an absolute offroading overkill? C:

 

In tuning of SFA setups, There is a "Steering center" selection, You're gonna have to play with that section to get it to drive straight, Usually from -30 to 30 will get it going straight.

Jack, Instead of posting this on both forums, I'll post it here for Both Hopper and D/Roamer. You should do a 4w Independent suspension with Long A arms for a Really wide track width, It would be Pretty cool to have a Crew cab Dually with That one 5 inch body lift mod, With 4wIs in the trails.

Depending on how far you went with it, At some point, A Truggy would be pretty cool, With the Military tires that was mention in the Hoppers thread, and a Truggy D series

 

there were 2 truggy D series mods in the past...both are outdated so I'm down

 

Dude please do bobbed bed and dove tailed bed options! that would be sooooo sick! combine that with cut fenders and maybe a comp cut or tube bed would be bad ass!!! cant wait man!!!

 

You're the best! ive been playing this game for years waiting on the kind of mods that you make!

The Red one on 46's? wont be hard, A Bumper and fender flares would be needed but the wheels, We already have the 55'' and 46'' inch boggers from the Hopper.

Wait, one of the truggy mods still work? Which one is this, I loved those mods when they worked

Doesn't have thermals or anything, but still works. Brake models are wierd, steering wheel in floor, no default color, but still fun.

 

well I cant wait till this is done or even released early. the offroad hoppers are some of my fav mods and I too also wished that suspension was on the d-series. Keep up the awesome work!
