I like this truck, I really do. So take some of this to heart, please: Bng isn't ROR. The entire point of bng is eye candy. This model needs more detail, and textures, because it's pretty gross to look at. your beams are pretty good, but feel like the structural stuff breaks really, really easy.
The model does not have to be complete eye-candy, although it should look better than ROR's models because of the higher engine capabilities and different game UI and setup. And this is still a WIP so it is not perfect, it will get better as time goes on, just be patient. That being said, you are doing an amazing job on this truck ky13harbor9, it already looks great.
This is pretty good! You did a nice job on the truck, I always wanted one in ror but now I have on e in beamng! Even better.
Guys, it's WIP. Dang. BNGD is alreading being invaded by idiots. I mean, look at this thread, and the hardware ones, and physics complaints. Geez.
It was correct in the first place. The code you posted is wrong technically. None of the 4WD vehicles have engine parameters in the front diff. The rear diff code covers the gearing and friction, the front is just there to give power to the front wheels. If you check the rear diff code, you'll notice you now have two diffs doing the same thing. And if the gearing doesn't match, it will act pretty strange.
That's interesting, and I definitely believe you, but I'm still confused as to why it seems like the front seems to have no effect when climbing unless that line is there?
I just downloaded this and had a bit of a play around with it and I must say, great mod! When this is finished it will be one of the best, there is a lot of potential in it. Congrats! (Although I might just suggest, make the tailgate a bit stronger)
Is there a trick to making this work in Beam? Anytime I try to switch to it in-game, the game just crashes.
Try turning the mesh quality up higher via the options menu. (if it is on low try it on normal or high). I had this problem with the Chevy Silverado and when I turned the mesh quality settings to normal it worked.
I realise this is just a WIP(and at this point i really think it has a LOT of potential to be one of the better trucks in the game(and no, I'm not a "Ford guy")), but these are just a few things i noticed that could make it that much nicer: -the front A pillars(the columns from the dash to roof) are attached to the doors. When a door opens or falls off, there is nothing to support the roof -The tailgate falls off really easy -as someone else mentioned the 4wd system seems very weak -Most parts in the parts menu are non-present(tires for instance)..i was looking forward to putting some off-roaders on. -there is no radiator support. When the front fascia is removed, the radiator floats -there is no texture to the bed, its smooth. Some kind of bed lines or fake liner would look nice I disagree with someones previous comment of it being too heavy. The d-15 pushes this thing around with easy when going head to head.
It being too heavy isnt an opinion. It is fact, press K/L to cycle the debug screens and one of them has the vehicle weight on it.
FINISH HIM!!! Hey, I've been caught up in the Carlton ever since my last post here. Sorry to everyone wanting it to be finished (including myself ) I'm gonna give it the polishing it needs; Feeling motivated! Updates later today. - - - Updated - - - Oh, I do take it to heart. Seeing all the perfect mods you've just cranked out, I'd better listen to you. I'll bet you have so much experience-- hey, I have an idea... Instead of just floundering around on my computer and embarrassing myself, why don't you just take over for me! That would be great, because then instead of rotting at my computer desk, wasting my life, I could go spend my time on something more useful like knitting a scarf or taking a shit! And you could spend hundreds of hours of your life on the important parts- the looks. Well, that's an exaggeration, to say the least... I'm sure it'd only take a few minutes; after all, you know how easy it is! (Just wanted to say that for myself this time)
dont listen to byodod(or what ever his name was, i forgot) work at your own pace. do what you think is important. then when you think its ready for more releases, release it. not when people tell you too. Some people just want a finished truck and dont understand how complicated it is to make something like this. Good job and keep up the good work.
Exactly which part of "Beta Released" is hard to grasp for you? It's a work in progress, as time proceeds he will probably texture it, and add detail to the model. But right now: his concern is just making it work in the first place. While inconsiderate people like you, bitch and moan about something that's clearly not finished yet.
there is a lota hate and strong words, coming from inexperienced people. and looking at there past comments they prove themselves ignorant. but people are free to express there opinion, and are quite capable on showing how ignorant they are. but We should stay on topic...
