Im simply curious on where the bulk of your interests lie as far as these 2 things go. Vehicles, or soft body physics? For instance, was Beamng created with mostly optimization of soft body physics with use of vehicles, or a game that makes driving as realistic as possible? I would think it would be difficult to make a simulator like this if you werent at least a little bit of an auto enthusiast. Anyway just wondering.
I'm no game developer, but I'd imagine it would be very difficult to make a game like BeamNG.Drive if you were not an automotive enthusiast of some degree. Why pour hours and hours of work into something if you have no interest in it? I like to think of it as a game "By car enthusiats, for car enthusiasts"
I am definitely a car enthusiast I think tdev and estama are physics enthusiasts. Sam is a foliage enthusiast We make a good team.
That does sound like a good team! you guys have certainly made something very awesome so far. Being a car enthusiast myself, i enjoy playing a game with this level of detail.
Ah Sam. But you guys do make a great team, each one of you guys have a different best ability and it works out really well! I also challenge Hutch to make the best tree he can make. It doesn't have to run in game, but I would love to see each leaf modeled. It's a waste of time, but imagine the awesomeness.
Then do a map with just that single tree in the middle of nothing haha Just to watch my Graphics card commit suicide over a single tree
