You know what they say, when this baby hits 88 MPH, you're gonna see some serious s#@t.

    @crashmaster Thanks for reuploading.

    I rate 4/5.

It looks great, the engine is amazing, and the weight balance feels spot on. This car quickly impressed me on the first drive, and then led to eventual disappointment, and I'll tell you why...

One of the nicer-looking bootleg replicas of a real car, this thing is gorgeous to look at, from any angle. Any differences between the "real" car and this model are minor, and tasteful due to the author's discretion. It actually is a little bit more rounded and sexy than it's IRL counterpart. Definitely one of the best-looking models to view as you are driving it around - and it's damn fast! In fact, the lightweight chassis and roided-up V8 can spank the crap out of most other "sports cars" in the game, on a smooth track! But that is where the problem lies...

The wheels and suspension do not work for high speeds. I'm not sure what the intention was here, Crashmaster, by fitting the standard car with 22-inch low-profile wheels... Yes, they look nice, but as soon as you hit a pothole at 88 MPH, this car WILL send you "back to the future," whether it's where you're trying to go, or not. Horrible puns aside, the suspension system and wheels need some major refinement, or at least more options in the parts list. The car's body is very light, but there is a lot of unsprung weight in the wheels that bounce around any time the car's inertia is unsettled. The low-profile tires have a massive amount of grip that never gets used, because they keep bouncing off the road surface, and the suspension has so little damping that it creates a nearly constant "rocking" effect through corners and over bumps of any size. It makes maintaining stability and control of the car nearly impossible at any speed above 60 MPH in a variety of normal, paved road conditions! I'm sorry, but the car feels like a roided-up bodybuilder bouncing on a trampoline...

If you want to update this mod, I would try re-designing the suspension (add more travel, damping, and less aggressive spring rates), adding a set of smaller more modest wheels and tires to the parts list (like on the original stock car?)

Did you read the credits? the car is based off the bolides jbeam with some custom work, its using the same suspension jbeam but its shorter. i know its a bit bouncy and its annoying, idk how to fix it. if i end up updating this mod, i wont be redoing the suspension because i simply dont know how to make a proper suspension. its my weakness in any of the cars i make, if it needs custom suspension work its a lost cause, just look at this project of mine by example, razorbill

This little buggy is my first vehicle that i made all by myself (jbeam) which includes custom suspension and everything jbeam related. i worked on this thing for so many months but why isnt it released? its done, except the suspension is just awful and simply does not work at all. i tried to do some suspension but i lack the knowledge to do that.
Same thing with the degoryun, i cant re-model the suspension and make a suspension from scratch, i lack the talent and knowledge
i tried getting help for the buggy, im still asking people around the forum but i never get a reply. it sucks because i put so much time and effort in this buggy and its never going to be released because of some sh*tty suspension.
But thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it :)
But i still wanted to explain why the suspension is so awful. its not really my fault, trying to fix it would be a waste of time, i spent months trying to fix the suspension on the buggy and it was all a waste of time, it didnt fix anything and i didnt learn anything.
I also would like to add that the DeGoryun was my first vehicle made in beamng, the first one that i released as well, so i know its not perfect. but for a first car im pretty happy with what i was able to do.

I see... well I'm sorry to hear that... I don't know much about how cars are made in BeamNG, so I can only be a critic. Maybe someday I will get into making actual mods.

In any case, it's a really good car, save for the one aspect of the suspension. If you would be willing to allow somebody else to make a modified version/customize the Jbeam of it (perhaps me?), it could become great.

The Bolide feels to be a noticeably heavier vehicle, and that is probably why the heavy springs and wheels work better for it. I think just experimenting with tweaking some values in the Jbeam could make a huge difference in performance... what have you tried so far?

I forgot to add a few things, the reason why the wheels are so big as well is because of the way they made the car. the model is from a game called carmageddon reincarnation. their models are detailed and seemed good for beamng. yesterday i took a look into a few of their models again and its way too high poly which is why its sometimes stretching as much.
And if someone wants to make it better go ahead. id like to have a heads up before you release it tho.
And im currently working on other cars, they are more derby cars, i gave up on the carmageddon vehicles for a few reason, one of them is, the suspension. a lot of those cars would need custom suspension work since there is a few odd cars in that game. so no i didnt play around with the jbeam, its been a while since i touched that car. i re released it because i noticed that the thread was deleted.
Thanks for the criticism tho. it just sucks that the suspension is difficult to be made properly.

interesting. I have to say this whole conversation has gotten me really interested in actually getting into modding. I might take a look into how it's done and get back to you. Hoping for the best, I could tune the car up a bit.

Depending on what you want to do, i would recommend watching a few tutorials with blender first, i could link you the one that i watched which helped me a lot in learning out blender works.
blender, notepad++ and pain.net is what i use, with the node beam editor.
    I wish you luck.

The wheels disappoint me. Nothing like a actual DeLorean. But it still is a good attempt!

    I can't...
After I made the post I found out that the folder for BeamNG in documents is only in onedrive, and that's the reason it won't work.
