Yeah I'm totally stuck because I don't know what to do, a lot of people seem to know how to start but nobody is really in "helping progress", it's all about advices and "oh it's gonna die", so thx to CreasingCurve, I'll continue this on my free time but sure it's not gonna progress itself.
As far as I know, JBeam is just maths. I can crunch on that for you if you need. The only difficult thing for this project is figuring out how to make BeamNG work with 300MPH cars. In game already, the wheels explode at about 290, and they start acting weird and the axels flop around at about 260. the wheels explode before them if you drive it wrong. We would need to strengthen a lot of things, but not so strong it wouldnt crash right. Also, is the drag strip map we have that takes place on the island actually 1/4 mile? and is there a way to mark 1000ft on it?
Ah. If thats all we have to go off of then i guess thats that. Could we use that also to make sure we have the cars scale correct if/when this project is finished?
I don't think so, there should be a way of knowing through the models, each node has a value of position so if the value is lets say metres then we can find out that way
@Mcross97 Send me a PM i'll see if i can help. @allotheridiots, (mainly @Jbluefury) Stop saying this thread is dead, your doing nothing but pissing off people who look at the thread hoping to see progress or word from the dev of the mod including me who is trying to help with it.
0-330 in about 4 seconds. do the maths from there xD --- Post updated --- nevermind this, I got a moonhawk with a custom motor/supercharger setup to break 300! not in a 1/4, but i think thats still cool. Turns out the alder dragster beadlocks arent great and blow up at high speeds, the regular alder dragger 15/14 work just fine. however, i dunno how big a top fuel tire is so that will have to be looked into as well
I have really been wanting a real drag car and have been searching the internet since I worked out how to mod. I really think this could be awesome!!! BTW - I don't know if someone corrected this, but it is Nitromethane. Methanol is part of the mix.
I'm pretty sure this is abandoned, however I believe there is another drag racer in the works... Update: Found the link... https://www.beamng.com/threads/dragster.59363/
