Anyone else notice the upright piano? I didn't know what to think when I saw that as a prop. (I'm not going crazy right? I did see an official upright piano prop when I was playing earlier, right? Am I just going crazy or was that really there?)
Bad news first... 1) ETK 800 Diesel sounds dont exist 2) T-Series is awful, placeholder? 3) D-Series Auto shift patterns are wrong, shifts too late out of 1st 4) Stock D-Series sounds too whooshy at high revs, like it has force induction or whatever, when it doesnt on stock (same for all Gavril modern V8s) 5) Lots of sound repeating 6) Dynamic range is good, but please add an option to reduce the dynamic range of sound, like limiting the maximum sound level as it is very bad for late night driving as it will wake the whole house up if i crash But WOW! the sounds are good, especially the idle sound on the Burnside, like that is near perfect apart from high revs... ***The Auto shift system is trash at the moment*** Here's why... So i'm in my pessima V6 Auto, im going at 30MPH steady, 0.10 aggresion and in 3rd gear with the TC locked up... that is good except 70mph steady results in 0.6 aggression, why? the aggression value should not be based solely upon throttle value, rather the throttle speed of application and general unsmoothness, this should be especially apparent in newer cars, in older cars they require a kickdown switch, this is for the extra acceleration and stops the car from guessing all the time (so you can have your foot down and it wont shift up, too sensitive). For example... During acceleration, right before the gear change is going to go up the PCU drops power! this is bad as you then have to apply more throttle which is going to increase your aggression and throw the gear shift points even more out of whack, this is mad as the whole fundamental aspect of the transmission is for steady smooth acceleration
The sounds are still work in progress so they'll probably improve over time and i read somewhere that the t-series sounds are an placeholder.
Those that think the shifting is too slow, can you please record a video of the behavior with the pedals app visible and post your used settings (gearbox mode, helpers etc) alongside the video?
Tested all cars and it's really awesome. But just now awaiting for unique sound for EACH V8 , V6,I4 engines, and sure Crash sound
I didn't expect to like the new update that much. Had to modify some of the bindings (for some strange reasons, the game switched between cameras when using the numpad to change the angle of the camera). Tried the update on East Coast USA and I noticed the FPS seemed to remain the same. Has there been some performance improvements ? Because having a stable FPS is much better than having it drop slowly. Also, I'm already loving the custom sounds. There's no new map, no new car, but I feel like it's not a problem if I finally get stable FPS.
I'd suggest swapping the dynamic audio for front and back, the exhaust should be louder in the back than at the front, it's muffled at the rear. Engines actually have very little sound to them, it's the exhaust where the sound is.
Any plans to include a high idle mode when the engine is cold? Or to make vehicles take more time to start (crank more) when cold? Now that we have the auto blip when starting and the new sounds... Would be awesome for cold starts.
Sorry I seem to have misunderstood you, I thought you were talking about slow shifts, which obviously does not seem to be the case. What exactly do you think is wrong?
Seems to me like all automatics shift late under low throttle and non-aggressive driving. The D-Series with the auto, for example, cruising at 65 will sit in 3rd gear until I completely let off the throttle. Kinda irritating under normal driving conditions.
Legran doesnt actually, that is wonderful to drive... But yeah its because the gearbox is too late, it downshifts before the engine musters up its torque, so in gear acceleration is awful really
