This looks really good. Is it based on anywhere in particular? I'm kind of getting Middle East vibes.
No, it's only my road texture, the same as canyon of speed, that's all... All the map is made by @Nadeox1
This looks so cool! How long did it take you to make a map THAT big?? And how did you get it to work without too much lag?
Thanks. Found it, I mistakenly exported that one without its collision mesh. Quick fix should be up soon

The transition from high detail to low detail is not so graceful, and when doing drag races on the runway, you have probably 20 feet of dirt to stop before total decimation of your car. Otherwise an awesome map.
Aye, it's the best that I could do. Blender has troubles with anything above 1000m in any direction. Then the 'low-detail' is lowerpoly, so it doesn't perfectly match the curves of the actual terrain. Finally, the dark border is something inevitable in the game engine itself.
I know this will sound demanding ... but can we have version where there are no "safety railings" around roads? You know, for scientific and research purposes? BTW, I noticed when I let the car sit for a while, brakes temperature goes pretty low - to about 9°C, so ambient temp is set to low - I pressume this was a gift for us, who are constantly running in trouble of overheating the engine(s), right?
I didn't even think about setting the ambient temperature, so not sure to what it's defaulting. And no plan to include a 'barrier-less' version, but you can edit the map yourself and remove them (the scene tree is quite organized, so you should find the barrier group easily and delete them)
Since its more a desert Atmosphere I would suggest the temperature should be between 25 and 37 Degrees C, if it had humidity I would have that set extremely low but since the game doesnt do that yet I think the temperature range is about right
Edit: Nevermind. I should have read the damn thread before posting. Great map, runs very nicely for how huge it is.
it could be set at a brutal 40c, that would certainly trigger a load of radiator fans the irony of this post
Performance Feedback Overall, this map is very smooth, and doesn't really affect my frame rate too much (almost max graphics > my specs are in my signature). The only area (so far) that I've experienced a significant FPS drop is at the Radio Tower spawn point. Graphics Feedback The mountainous terrain looks extremely realistic, and the roads appear seamless. Other than the transition between high and low terrain detail, I have yet to find any texture glitches or rough spots. The lighting is perfect and the distant mountains really show off the in-game DOF. This map creates the perfect background and environment for screenshots. I love that you've left some surprises for us. Very nicely done! I give this mod my seal of approval. Edit: I found one area with a minor texture issue. It's in the secret place near the end.
