So, as the tilte says, this is about some old RoR car files ive found:
Can they be "transformed" to be able to work on Beam.NG?
Do u want, if possible, RoR vehicles here?

Please, if u know anything abut this, let me know

    Nico

Apparently if you get RoR vehicles working in Beam, gabester will intervene.

He only allowed one RoR car to be converted, and that was the Gavril Bandit.

Gabester reportedly feels that his earlier work in RoR is of poor quality when compared to his current work on Beamng.Drive. The Gavril Bandit was the first (and so far only) vehicle to be brought into Beamng, but only after a thorough overhaul of the mesh and deformation structure (known as JBeam in Beamng).

The Bandit reportedly impressed Gabester enough for him to allow it in-game. However, you should check with Gabester first before beginning any RoR-related project if you intend to release it to the mod repository.

And also check with the original authors of the mods. If you intend to release or share your work with the community, you need to have permission to use the assets.

I've made a private mod converting his Hummer-like one, forgot the name because it was a while back when I made it.

The ROR car's Gabester made will need an entire new j beam not to mention a huge texture overhaul.

They don't look too bad. I know I wouldn't mind seeing more of them get ported, like the Omega and the Burnside.

Well... modern American vehicles have consistently been requested, but I personally hope that a Omega might be reborn as a thoroughly modern crossover (A newer generation than the one from RoR, so as to move forward)

As for the Burnside - I sincerely hope that it finds its way into Beamng in one way or another. I wouldn't mind this as a mod, but I really would like a second official Burnside, especially if it is a wagon. Preferrably something from 1970-1985, right before the company's demise.

We've been talking a lot about @gabester here - and speculating on his official stance on RoR-related content. An authoritative word from him on the subject would clear up any misperceptions.

Gabester has clearly stated a couple of times he doesnt want his work ported from RoR to Beam (i think it had to do with quality things). But like you, i would like to see some of the cars make a comeback.

I've gone as far as suggesting the Omega being remade as a trim option for the 2014 Gavril Roamer that turns it into something like the Chevrolet Avalanche.

I totally agree with the Burnside. I think it's a great looking car. Maybe it could be redone into something more reminiscent of the Lincolns or Cadillacs of that era? I love the idea of a Burnside luxury land yacht from the 1970's - 1980's range.

Thank you for your input, and I'm glad you also would like to see them make a comeback. However, if you would kindly check post #5...

That's what I was thinking... Gabester has only not wanted His vehicles to be converted... he didn't say anything about anyone else's...

Nadeox did a couple of his own and somehow the Busfag got on here... so I mean... if the Busfag can make it... why not anything else? (with the original authors permission of course... could be difficult on some stuff) Like take Box5's Duce for example... that thing was a work of art.
