Well. Finally got SR2 working! Only took 3 different ports. And... Wow. It actually puts GTA to shame. Sadly, the series went off the rails soon after, so this is the only good one. Quite fun overall. I recommend it to anyone, but the PS3 VERSION ONLY. (PC is notoriously terrible, and X360 has an update that causes a game breaking bug (Half the map is corrupt)).

Interesting stuff. I didn't know that about the professional side of it.

Also, I agree that DeviantART has built up a reputation for the rampant fetish content, but I'm willing to argue that it is not as explicit as people may think. DeviantART does have rules regarding how explicit their content is, though their enforcement of said rules is probably pretty weak.

I can say I've seen stronger stuff on other sites.

And let's stop it with this discussion. I'm not sure if it's following the TOS anymore.

You're probably right. I just wanted to throw out my ten cents on the subject.

    Ok.

If you haven't already heard. C* is at it again, now wiping people's GTA online accounts of legit money. Even money bought with shark cards. Technically, that is larceny, which is a felony, as C* is stealing people's real money technically.

Apparently Houston had a few refineries and most of them has shut down because of Harvey. It's causing a massive petrol and diesel shortage in the state with gas stations running out and/or price gouging (significant increase in price on gas for profit, this is considered illegal in the US). This is increasing crime rate (more people are stealing gas) and traveling issues among the people living there.

It is in no way a felony or illegal. In game money is not legal tender, it cannot be used to buy things in the real world therefore it is not classed as currency. This is enforced by Rockstar terms of service. You can spend hundreds on shark cards only for Rockstar to delete your account as soon as you purchase them, they are totally within their right to do so.

Shark cards and paid in game currency are one of the most shady things in the game industry along side loot boxes. You are getting literally nothing in exchange for your money, these "digital items" that you are "buying" are not yours, the only payment that is made is you giving Rockstar money for fictional fake currency that is worth exactly 0.

These are the exact same systems the gambling industry has used to start selling gambling products disguised as games predominantly on mobile devices. If there is no physical prize and its not real money it is not legally classed as gambling and as such not traditionally subject to the same regulations.

Yea, it's quite shady to go ahead and force people to spend real money on something that doesn't exist except as a few bytes. They can toss their harddrives out the window then plug it in and say "Oh, a virus destroyed the data" or just straight up delete everyone in one swoop, as those bytes of information isn't legal tender.

If I were to design a game, I would make it either free with maybe ads (not in the way of the game play, that's f***ing stupid) or a paid game. Not this weird medium called "Freemium" and make it where you have to pay to advance.

The rise in gas prices isnt gouging. Its because you are now importing refined petrol and diesel from overseas to cover the defecit, this is legitimately more expensive, additionally its draining the european supply.
Atop that. Traditional supply and demand. If something is in short supply but high in demand, the price will rise. This is also being applied to compound the US gas prices which are still lower than they are in europe, who is also suffering a rise because highly unfair trade policies bullied into place by the US are causing you to effectively steal our oil to feed your deficit when we'd already purchased those barrels.

Though yes for the record 25% of american refineries are in houston.

BeamNG + tire wear/thermals + better graphics + multiplayer + more race cars + more race tracks + more cars in general + more maps = perfect racing sim.

Pretty much, if you take BeamNG's physics and combine those with the features of any other sim, you've got the perfect sim in my opinion.
