    I have had
the game since it came out in open beta, I love the fact that you can realistically drive and crash at variable speeds, and it honestly has helped a couple of my friends learn to drive due to the wheel mechanics and damage, but what about tire wear? it seems we have infinite tire tread on the tires and it would kind of be a simple thing to implement. Now I will admit I am not a computer coder......but it would sound easy....I don't know if it is or not. If there is a mod for this could someone point me to the forum post?

I thought it's in Alpha state still
Also, for the tire wear... It is kind of hard to do, considering on what are the devs working on currently + they would need to code the whole thing from 0 & that would take hooouuuuurrrrss... Maybe in the future we will see that, but not anytime soon probably

The thing about tire wear is the fact that every rubber node on the tire (pretty much the outer belt) would have to be able to change its friction settings on the fly. Now correct me if I am wrong, but currently the only way to be able to change the friction of nodes would be to adjust it in the JBeam file. Currently adjusting anything in the JBeam file on the fly just can not be done and requires the vehicle to be completely reloaded. So, I am guessing before tire wear becomes a thing, they will probably have to change how that problem is dealt with unless they somehow come up with a work around for it.

Edit: To add to this post... The Devs added in Brake fade... Almost no other game has brake fade, so to say that they never had tire wear in mind is completely out of the question... They just haven't found a proper way of implementing it as of yet is all. Give it time, it will come.

Tire wear is basically the last major thing left to simulate. I can't think of any dev comment about it (aside from when they teased the brake thermals and said that it wasn't a teaser for tire thermals) but I'm sure it will come before beta. Speaking of which, are you a time traveller?
