Majahe Fields This map is kinda jungle/desert themed with a beach strip an oasis and an abandoned industrial complex, wich was regained by nature. I also added a rundown Airport, as DrowsySam and others added some awesome planes! I'd really love to hear some feedback as this is my first attempt on doing a map for BeamNG. If you have improvement ideas, critics or want to teach me how to do stuff better I'd really appreciate it I used the dev's GridMap as ''skeleton'' for things like the sky, the forest file and stuff, but the whole rest is done by myself. Have fun with the map! Bugfixes/Changelog V.2: -Changed the folder build for uncomplicated adding to the ''beamNG.drive/levels'' -The Stopsigns were removed, so that you don't have to toggle around. (Hopefully that'll fix the weird driving behavior of the car too..:x) -Several Meshroads were replaced by Decalroads. -The little passage were one can drive through Water is now possible to drive through, without killing the motor. -Water density set to 1000, so it actually acts like Water. -Some ''NoMaterial'' Errors were fixed. -Other minor fixes and changes. Sorry for the Issues..As I said..It's my first attempt on a map, so please excuse that it isn't perfect right now! If you find any bugs or have trouble with the map please tell me (if possible with screenshots )! Suggestions for improving or adding stuff and constructive critics is totally wanted! I want to learn and that only goes by doing and correcting mistakes! Sneakypeaky Previews: Rundown Industrial Complex: Runway: 0 Tracks:
Re: Beach/Jungle Map It is looking good so far! Keep up the awesome work! It is usually always a good thing to routinely make a copy of the folder you are working in and place it elsewhere on your computer. This way, if something happens to the original files, you still have a back-up copy to work from.
Re: Beach/Jungle Map This week I didn't had the time to work on the map, as I had several written exams and was in need to learn for them. Next week is totaly going to be the same...Psychology and Biochemistry ain't that easy, so I'm probably not going to work on this map until next week.. I'm sorry for that, but I hope that progress will be fast afterwards! If there is anything new I'll post new pics and/or a Video Furthermore thanks for all your feedback This realy keeps me motivated!
Re: Beach/Jungle Map So I fell for that Plane stuff too! That means that I'm going to add a rundown, but still usable Airport too! Some progress has been made, now I just need to adjust the Rotation of the car to the rotation of the Airport and add some vegetation and details to it!
Re: Majahe Fields Getting a huge amount of Errors and no map accept the stop signs, vehicle, and some roads.
Re: Majahe Fields This map is so buggy.. i spawn in a road sign.. and my car is driving sideways.. :S
Re: Majahe Fields You must tab between the Obstacles at the beginning, as I don't know how to make streetsigns unchosable. If anyone knows I'd appreciate if they would share their knowledge... The Problem with driving sideways is kinda odd..it never happend to me before oO I only know that this happens when you mess around with the rotation axe of the car in the editor, but I havn't done that..
Re: Majahe Fields I like many others did not get this map to work. After the game loaded in, I went into the editor mood, enabled the world cam. All that was load besides ocean was a textureless square of to the side a bit. Will get a photo when I can be bothered to do so.
Re: Majahe Fields I was having the same problem as everyone else, tons of errors and no terrain loading. For me, this was the problem: The zip file contains a folder called 'Majahe Fields', inside that folder is another folder called '[WIP]Beach' you need to extract only the '[WIP]Beach' folder to your levels directory. superkiwi: You may want to change the folder structure in your zip to avoid these problems, or update your .MIS to include the 'Majahe Fields' folder too..
Re: Majahe Fields I gave it a try...hopefully that will fix some problems! I'm sorry for that, but I am new to all that stuff and folder stuff
Re: Majahe Fields For those of you having trouble with spawning as a stop sign and then you car drives sideways, which is very annoying, I have found a solution. What you have to do is you must go in the world editor, then, open the missiongroup folder located on the right part of your screen, in the scene tree tab. When that is done, find the two props named stop1 and stop2 (might be named sign1 and sign2, but Having deleted both files, I can't know for sure, sorry about that) When you found those two, delete them, and then exit world editor, press escape and save the changes. Upon relaunching of the map, the Gavril D of the spawn should be working properly.
So I guess all problems that happened should be fixed now! (If not, tell me!) I am still working on the map and do minor changes. Critizism and any sort of feedback is totally wanted! Maybe I'll add more stuff to the map, as you request it I try to do my very best!
I'm currently working on some improvements like the roadcrossings...I just found out that I have to mix up mesh and decals to get a clean transmission...I guess thats something very basic, but (yeah, broken record, i know) it's the first map that I designed EVER! Furthermore I'm working to bring some life to the beachstrip...There is no solid plan nor clue yet, but I'll see where my Imagination will lead me too... I'm not willing to add real mountains/hills and trees there, as it is a nice area for killing some AI vehicles, but I don't want to have it that empty...I guess bushes and little, smooth raisings will do the trick... But as I said...It's nothing vivid yet...
What you could do is add a simple beach head, to add so texture to the track. You could also put light ravines next to the road(s) to add more life to them.
