We already have enough german cars, we need some french and more american cars right now I think that in some time soon we could get a proper tire thermals and wear simulation, as they are pushing out the new nitrous system, engine thermals are done-ish the same with brakes. We lack only few essential parts of simulation that is tires and aero.
The thing is, we don't have enough European vehicles - there are lots of American and Japanese vehicles, however, European cars are missing - Swedish , French, German, British, Spanish, Italian, and more... All of these countries provide brilliant cars for us to enjoy - from rally legends, to most ugliest car in the world; from heavy truck to 3-wheeler; from boring family car to supercar - that's what we do need. However, gamer's hunger for more content will never be satisfied, but I would like to see it.
German? there are loads of german cars. Tbh i would like to see a Volvo esque car, or a British 2 seat sports car
If you set it up properly, but what I meant was that it lacks a more dynamic aero physics. As you know when you drive with your hood open it won't smash your windshield even at 120mph or 200km/h, although it will slow your vehicle down. Aero physics work, but they need a lot of work.
A sense of speed was added using the dynamic field of view, but no type of motion blur was added sadly.
I have no idea what people are referring to by this "modern SUV" in "that thread". What thread? What SUV? I haven't seen anything in the dev section about that. Anyway...here's what I predict will come to 0.11 from what we've seen so far (or whatever the next update will be called): WCA: Roughly a month ago, this map was shown to be quite incomplete, but not so incomplete that it couldn't be finished in a month or two (or possibly three) from its known progress. This may be the meat of 0.11, since there isn't very much else that is close to completion and a particularly important content addition to Beam. Nitrous: Considering that WCA will likely be coming in 0.11 with the first official drag strip in BeamNG.drive, this feature is very likely to be added with the update to fit in with the drag strip. WCA versions of current cars: Quoting a previous post I made... "-New police and skins for the Belasco police department. They have their own building in the middle of the city. This makes total sense to have new skins for the Grand Marshal, Sunburst, Roamer, and 200BX, and maybe...just maybe...some new police vehicles like SBR4 and K-Series interceptors, Covet and '96 Pessima patrol cars, a Hopper Border Patrol config, and a few others, as well. -The possibility of seeing some new California Custom-styled skins for the Burnside, as that would be a popular car to use for customization back in the '50s and '60s. Bluebuck could have this, as well. -Some V8 engine swaps for cars like the Miramar, which (back in the 1960s and '70s) would have been a popular base to use for sticking a Gavril or Bruckell small-block into. -Some beater/ghetto configurations of the pre-2000 cars, especially the Bluebuck, Burnside, Miramar, Moonhawk, Grand Marshal, and LeGran. It's already been confirmed by the devs that WCA will have a lot of shady backstreet ghettos and run-down neighborhoods, and having the freedom to .drive around a shady neighborhood, trash-covered streets and all, in a LeGran with a heap of rust, a blown head gasket, shot suspension, and a load of other issues would add a whole load of fun to the entire experience. -Some more race cars, potentially a K-Series GTE configuration, a classic race car in the form of either the Burnside or the Bluebuck, as well as a Hill Climb variant of the '96 Pessima (hinted at by @YellowRusty, and shown to be possible with the addition of the Nomi GTRX aero kit in 0.8). WCA will have the biggest motorsports facility in the standard game, and what better way to add to the fun than to have some more race cars and race parts for the cars? -Some more drag cars. The drag strip will be the first of its kind in the standard game, and I think that that foreshadows the addition of some dragsters made out of some of the other cars." D-Series Tow Truck: It's been shown in the game files since 0.9 that the D-Series has an unreleased tow truck configuration. Considering that 0.10 added node couplers, I'd say that the two truck could see the light of day in 0.11. Hopper Beam Safari: There's an unused skin for the Hopper that hints at the potential for a Jurassic Park homage in BeamNG.drive, and considering that there's a new windshield light bar for this vehicle, it seems very likely to appear in 0.11. Like with the tow truck, the new node coupling function will likely help this config get added in sooner than normal. Bluebuck: Seeing as there hasn't been a new car in several months, I reckon that the Bluebuck could come to BeamNG.drive in the next update...if it gets finished, that is. After all, Gabester has said that he's currently having real-life issues, and the other devs may or may not want to work on the Bluebuck. We do have proof of an unused V10 sound file, which could mean... ETK K/800 V10: It's been a long while since the modern ETKs were released, and since that time, the promised V8 engine has never come. However, the unused V10 sound file could be used for a new V10 engine for the ETKs, since it sounds quite modern. But it could also be used for... Modern Supercar/Hypercar: We don't have any evidence that a new super/hypercar could come to Beam besides the V10 sound file, so it is highly unlikely that a vehicle in this class will come anytime soon. Excavator: There's no evidence that an excavator will happen in Beam other than that it would be a paid job by a Brazilian construction company, but the devs did say that they may or may not be making it (no official confirmation or denial just yet). However, I don't think that there's any hope of seeing an excavator any time soon. (Please don't use this to start up a 30-page crapfest.)
Don't forget to mention the '96 Pessima under "More Race Cars", as we do have some evidence to support the addition of a "Hill Climb" configuration. There's also the D-series Tow Truck to consider, along with the possibility that winches may accompany its release. I have a feeling that the planned "Beam Safari" Hopper configuration is likely waiting for a winch. Also, until such time as the developers officially confirm or deny development of an excavator, I'd place it on the list. Probably in the red zone, but still on the list.
Noted and edited. It completely crossed my mind that these should have been added while I was writing that post. Hopefully, that '96 Pessima Hill Climb has a supercharged V6 instead of a turbocharged L4; I'm not a big fan of massive turbo lag.
Here is everything that we the gamer's have any knowledge of that could be in the next "major" update. (aka .11). Italy, West Coast USA, Gavril Bluebuck, ETK K and or ETK 800 v10 engine versions, Nitro, new hopper configurations, No information but posible. Vtec, New sounds for the T-series, more older map polish (East coast USA got a little love), New signs, Default Map working streetlights, horns- sirens, better Emergency lights, new police-fire and ambulance skins, Hill climb 90's Pessima (I highly doubt this one because the 90's Pessima is slow compared to a covet), Barstow police configuration, Soliad Wendover, and or weather such as rain, snow or fog in the environment selector. Things that I believe will not be added anytime soon if ever (if ever are the extreme ones). Minvan, European or Asian Semi Truck, Excavator, boat, plane, bus, Armed vehicles and or Armored vehicles (such as Bank Van) Spoiler
Im actaully more thinking that the etks will get v8s as a v10 in a 3 series would be a bit to big for it when you look at stuff like the m3 wich had a v8 as the biggest version the same for the k series i doubt that there will be something bigger than a v8 as it doesnt seem realistic
I would love to see an early landrover like vehicle in beamng as there is alot of potential for variants and the landrover has an aluminum body.
Personally I think anything other than land vehicles will stay as mods, the original scope of the developers was aiming for every arch type or something like that, it was mentioned somewhere when the game was first released
