They are good names but remember that is based on a fiat. yes it's italian and red but that does not mean that is a ferrari
Later when you know when you are going to release it, can you give us a heads up when you plan on releasing it exactly? So we can use them the minute it comes out?
I my memory serves me well, FIAT stand for "Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino" - so why not name it "Torino Esso"? BTW - please don't forget to add the 1.3 Turbo i.e. version - the ultimate hot hatch from mid 80's
oh... i had no idea about that! but this thing is what we call torino in argenrina: all versions are planned,even the brazilian 1.4 turbo i.e. but they will be separate because they have different suspension and unibodys.

A suggestion: call It Fat Um (a reference for clarkson's fiat modified badge in a special that topgear made, and um is one in portuguese ) --- Post updated --- Ps: there is no need to edit the name, its a good name (like the Prasu, that is supra inverted) --- Post updated --- In brazil we also have the Uno 1.6R BTW looking at the pics, the uno that has different unibody is actually the Mille Spoiler: Mille , the normal, more older uno (like the one that you're making) have the same body as the other unos (unless the fiat panda, that has different taillights and trunk)
Wow... this brings back some memories... When I was a small child, my father had a Fiat Uno, it was white and really awful. It was so bad it really should've gone to scrap much earlier. But in a way, this is what started my passion for cars! Every morning, when he wanted to drive it to work and bring me to school, he couldn't just crank up the engine and go. the starter motor never worked so he had to roll it down the street in 1st gear until it started itself. Police didn't like that. The car always smelled of oil and gas. And it drank coolant worse than a thirsty camel... The radiator was really bad, he blew it up multiple times. I remember that one time when the radiator burst open in the middle of a pretty steep road and the entire windscreen was covered in steam. We walked to town that day... He tried to sell it, but no one wanted it. Then one day a green pickup truck crashed into us on a tight turn, and the car was totalled. The amazing thing is that after the crash, the car worked fine! but the door and fender parts that needed to be replaced, costed more than the whole car. I really can't wait for this car. Thanks for making this mod.
in argentina we have the 1.6r too and it's planned! (i'm trying to figure out how to make the car skinnable) the mille (what we call fire here) still has the same unibody with minor modifications --- Post updated --- wow i never thought they were so unreliable... not for me at least, i've seen fiat unos with over 400.000km running, the early 90' version with the fiat lancia 1.4l/1.6l engine it's been pretty reliable for me, and the pevious owner didnt took care of it, and it shows but it would never let me stranded. atm i'm restoring it so will look like it just came out of the factory (and forging the engine so i can put a snail on it)
