Replaced to pieces of interior trim today, the old ones were ugly and broken and I got a nice deal on these.

The old 35X12.50 Toyo M/T's were getting a little thin in the tread department, and they were starting to get a touch too rotten for my liking, so they've been retired from daily duty, replaced with a set of 275/70R17 Cooper AT3's. They're used, but they've got almost 80% tread, and absolutely zero dryrot, manufactured this January.

They ride SOO nice, at least compared to the big heavy 35 inch 10 ply Toyo's, and the combination of their smaller size and lighter weight means I end up roasting them just trying to pull away from a stop sign.

Got the title & registration in my name. Also jimmied the lock with a coat hanger because I left my keys in the ignition (and lights on) like a complete dingus.

That's not your picture. A quick reverse image search was all it took to figure that out. Lying about this kind of thing is just stupid. It's not a big deal if you don't actually have a car; there's a lot of people here who don't have one.

But making up stories about having one that are obviously false only makes you look stupid. You don't need to pretend to be someone else to be accepted here. Being respectful of others and acting mature is pretty much all it takes to be accepted.

I took my vehicle out for a ride today. I also gave the chain and gears a clean to improve the pedalling efficiency.

I put some Rain-X on my car, some of the hydrophobic type coating for the outside and anti-fog on the inside. Not sure if i did a crap job with the anti-fog or if its just not very good, but it leaves patches of fog when driving in the rain with the window down and with the windows up, they fog up lightly but over the whole surface of the window.

Today the Subaru and I played "Lets do research" again.

I work for pico technology. We make USB oscilloscopes. Primarily for test and measurement industries but we also have a few products and also software tailored towards using oscilloscopes in automotive diagnostics (and quite a few manufacturers use our units in their own dealer networks, often rebranded though we always keep a little "powered by picoscope" logo somewhere).
We have some stuff in our automotive NVH software for analysing various vehicle vibrations and tracking down what they may be. My car sadly developed a bit of a nasty noise last week, i quickly suspected front wheel bearing though my hearing is poor and i couldnt establish which side very easily, however it mostly occured when turning right so one would imaging it is the front left. Spoke with one of the automotive techs at work to see if he also concurs and he instead took a very specific interest.
My car has a busted wheel bearing.
    This is an NVH issue.
Wheel bearings are not covered in NVH.

Lets rig the car with NVH sensors. More so than you normally would. Lets take some measurements from the different sensors in the NVH software, lets take them multiple times, more than you normally would.

My car has become a research platform.

Its booked in to be repaired next tuesday, garage thats doing the replacement work is going to give me the old bearing so we can again analyse that. We're also going to repeat the sensor readings afterwards so theres a control measurement to go against though in the mean time have been using the right side as a control of sorts.

Did get some right funny looks pulled over reconfiguring the laptop in a residential street. Some bloke walked past staring at the car where it had cables all wrapped around the A pillar and fender.

Pictures i put earlier in week are zoomed out overview from first runs. Did an extra few runs today.

yesterday I striped the topcoat off of the driver side quarter panel to get at some stubborn rust, Filled all but one of the holes in the floor since the last one is big, gave it a temporary paint job with some rustolem rust reformer to keep the rust away and washed the windows now I need to strip it some more and eventually remove all of the filler because there is a lot of it on the roof and driver side quarter
