The famous Jeep Grand Cherokee electrical problem has struck my ZJ, and I am clueless. Started with most of the door electronics not working, and the key fob not working. Most being everything but the left windows, left door mirror controls, and the driver's power door lock. I disconnected and reconnected the battery in hope that it would fix it, and when I went to turn it on, the alarm went off, and the key fob won't deactivate it. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. Now when I reconnect it, the alarm goes off. EDIT: I deactivated the alarm, so now I can reconnect the battery. SEND HELP.
The door electronics might be the wires breaking because they get bent back and forth so much, I know the 3rd gen Rams had that issue quite often. As for the alarm, my pickup has alarm issues as well. Some of it was solved by replacing the battery in the key fob, but it still goes off randomly, supposedly because the alarm system is super sensitive to other frequencies.
The bad generation of Jeeps, I definitely prefer the pre-LLC/FCA cars (2006 and older) than the newer ones.
I've looked, but not in depth. I will today probably. My name is not Jeremy Clarkson. Well, a small one
#Classic #Rare #PhoneSighting Not to mention I saw a rare Supra (first one with it's own model) and a '54 Porsche!
