My team at work had 2 people running late to a meeting. My team leader said she had a funny video for us to kill the time, cue her putting that on the projector in conference room, CEO of company walks past, hears noise. His face as he stuck his head around the door to see his highly professional software engineering team leading the future of the company by watching yoda sing about seagulls

Never really bough into the whole audio *wank* grade capacitors like the Elna Slimic II's and the Nichicon Fine Gold's but a buddy of mine suggested I give the Elna's a try in the signal path of my Sherwood, so I made my first ever order with Mouser electronics, got the Slimic's for the signal path, polypropylene caps for anything 1µF and less, Nichicon Muse for anything bipolar above 1 µF and my good 'ol go to Panasonic FC's for power supply and filtering duty.

While screwing around on Google Translate and Wikipedia, I found something interesting about the Korean words for one and two.

One: Korean 'hana' vs. Proto-Indo-European *hoino
Two: Korean 'dul' vs. Proto-Indo-European *duwo

    They're basically the same!

This is kind of interesting, I guess... meh, not really.

How else would you do it? Cars have a gear selector and a lot of games don't; those that do, like BeamNG, work like real life.

what you do is sell the yukon and buy a subaru. Or, modify the yukon quite crudely, effectively doing what a subaru does anyway.

Lights turn off when key is removed from ignition. Easy enough to do as a mod, stick a relay in the lighting circuit, powering the latch from switched 12v, boom, ignition on closes relay, ignition off opens it, lights cant function without relay closed, no more draining battery.

It is then legit kinda annoying if you *want* the headlights on, but you can just leave key in ignition I suppose.

I think I just got bitten by a spider.

I had just put on my onsie (currently have a bad cold and just wanted to relax watching YouTube in bed) and had sat down, about 15 seconds after I felt a sharp stinging pain in my leg. I undid the zip and put my hand down to find and remove the sharp object, all I found was what I thought was some loose string, so I pulled it out and got quite a surprise when I saw a reasonably sized spider in my fingers (OK, fair enough reasonably sized in the UK is pretty small by international standards). I may have also jumped slightly and let out a rather manly sound.

I think I may have broken some of its legs, so threw it out the window for the birds to feed on since it looked like it was on its way out.

My leg is still stinging. Feels almost like I have been punched and have a small lump on my leg. Didn't realize we had any spiders that bite in the uk.

Hm. The light switch post is a bad joke. The joke is that I don't know how to use a household light switch.
But your response is pertinent. I left my headlights on again yesterday and would have killed my battery if someone hadn't have gotten my attention and told me as I was walking away from my car. I think that's the 5th time.
The reason I leave the headlights on so much is because I removed the interior buzzer noisemaker chime box. It is a constant, ear piercing tone, and it stays on if the ignition is on and the driver's door is open. That drove me crazy so I pulled the box out. The chime also serves as the "you left your headlights on" reminder, by chiming when the headlights are on and the driver's door is open.
I think the thing to do is find a chime box from a mid 90s Camaro because it plugs right in but the chime is a ding and it's much less abrasive to the ears. Pretty much all 90s gm cars use the same chime box setup. It'll still piss me off when it chimes while the door is open and ignition is on though. I much prefer no chimes or bongs or bings or dings at all, but I gotta stop leaving my headlights on.

I have been looking online and I would have to say uncannily like some of the pictures of false widow spiders. It feels almost like I have been stung by a wasp/bee.

I should also add that it didn't look like all of them though, only a few of the images, and I am by no means an expert at recognising spiders. All I really know is that it friggen hurts
