I meant like a 4930k with 4 290x's all watercooled. Just the best system you can build without server parts.

Re: What does everone have under the hood?

Thought I would just post my gaming Rig (Bros pc)

Intel Core i7 4770K (Haswell Quad but unlocked to run 8 cores)
    MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard
    Corsair AX1200i
    Corsair Vengeance 16GB Ram (1866Mhz)
EVGA GTX770 4GB Classified (this thing gets me over 100fps easily)
    Fractal Design R2 XL case
    Samsung 256GB SSD
1x Seagate 3TB disk (suppose to have 2 but I screwed up the config on it got a CRC error)

Game play performance in fullscreen 1080p quality:

    Minecraft:
    Max Settings (16 Chunks): ~60fps
    Min Settings (2 Chunks): ~1500fps

    BeamNG Drive:
    Max Settings: 133-200fps
    Min Settings: ALOT!

    LFS:
    Max Settings: 500fps
    Min Settings: 500fps

its a perfect machine for destroying games at 1080p resolution

It's not even your own, how sad :(.

That's called hyperthreading, it still is a quadcore.

Wow, that's disappointing, I get close to 400 at max settings with the same card.

    ogm so number!!111

Omg wow such spec very fps.
    also low for that card.

Now please explain to me how much difference you see bitween 1200 and 500 fps.

How do you get 130+ fps in drive? I have a GTX 680, same card, overclocked higher and I don't get 130 fps with everything maxed out and PostFX, I mean, in Pure Grid I do, but that's not really a test...

Agreed, with forced crossfire 7950-7970 I don't even get that. Something smells fishy here.

Re: What does everone have under the hood?

I have the EVGA GTX770 4GB Classified Dual BIOS card

I can get from 133 - 200fps or so what Control F tells me but I need to get DxTory on the pc and that gives me a much more accurate reading I believe...but those are stock clocks I havent tinkered with that card, and the map I used was that Grid map with all that extra stuff on it...

to be honest I think that card went onto its gaming setup and thats how I got that performance...but yeah I will test it again on the Pure Grid and get a better more accurate reading

Dennis-W what software did you use there to get that stuff in the top left of your BeamNG Drive game?

EVGA PrecisionX (Rivatuner thingy), play with the on screen display a little.

From the bottom gives even more fps :|.

Re: What does everone have under the hood?

I will need to check and see if I have that on my gaming pc...but I hope to get a better reading than using that test map...I think the other things on that map might have scewed my results slightly...

Re: What does everone have under the hood?

Well, this is what I get when not cheating, 1080p, (for sake of comparison. Print Screen looks funny because it takes screenshots at 1440p and not 1080p) max settings, PostFX on an in Grid Map.
P.S. I do have everything on maximum in the Nvidia Control panel itself, so maybe that's it? I never even noticed that it made a difference...

you just have something wrong with your pc then, the gtx 770 should EASILY, get at least 60+ fps, unless of course your cpu isnt able to deal with physics, in which case, that would most likeley be your culprit

In Grid Map at 1080p, maxed out and with PostFX you should get ~70 with a GTX 770
