Hey everyone, Remember the V8 engine we introduced a while ago, the next update changes it completely! The Turbos are now on top of the engine instead of below. Clipping problems now have been reduced, and they will be completely eliminated by the time you get the update. Which is planned to release very soon! Cheers, the GTG Mods Team
You should make a cummins inline six with custom sounds or the ISB, ISX engines. That would be amazing because i like cummins engines!
Hi Greg, I really like this mod As you are providing a V8 model, Scania is the European "must" for this kind of engine. Their current range is offered in 4 versions: 520, 580, 650 and 730 hp. Latest documents about them here and particularly here. One important aspect is a correct torque curve. Most modern truck engines will have flat curves at their peak torque from 1000 to 1400 rpm, and after that torque will fall linearly. This is an older Scania press release with graphs for the previous generation engines (the top dog was 730hp already, so figures will likely still be applicable). From my experience with the Volvo engine mod, the 550 hp version is way more driveable than the 750 hp, unless you are towing some absurd load or going up some bad gradient. So yes, a lower power version would be nice to have. Hope this helps Happy modding AM
@AM-DB9, I am not basing the engines of any existant engines. If there are similarities that would a coincidence. I do like your reaction to my question regarding whether or not we should add some lower end turbos to the VRX V8. Unfortunately, due to the fact that this mod has been downloaded by over 1000 people, I will need more than just one opinion. I will start preparation for updating this mod to game version 0.11 once my exams are over. That would take two weeks. I'll get everyone up to date regarding this mod as soon enough information is available. Cheers, Gregory U. - Founder
Hey everyone, Progress on the V8 rebuild is going very, very slow at the moment. At the moment I am working on it myself and I have lost interest in making new stuff. Despite that, I am still going to make and or update mods but the rate will slow down. I'll see if I can make the V8 engine ready for the Christmas update, which I insist on releasing on Christmas Eve. You'll hear from me as soon as possible and hopefully, the new V8 will be released at a planned time. (For once) Kind Regards, Gregory U. - GTG Mods Team
I have a suggestion: A fuel tank up on the frame behind the cab. I've searched and searched and the only one that I can find, is a small one for a racing engine I have from a mod, that only works with that engine. The issue is the standard fuel tanks sit at least 2 feet down from the framerails, and I've made a 6x6 rig. Either it starts on fire constently as the fuel tank is battered and whatnot. or the fuel tank gets busted off(via offroad or vehicular combat). A tank on top of the frame would solve the issue quite handily. Big enough to supply an ample amount of fuel, and far enough forward to allow for towing a trailer. perhaps adjustable in overall size and forward/back position(to allow for multiple cab/sleeper/trailer configs). Oh and the engine my 6x6 rig uses a customizable mod engine(mentioning incase it somehow helps in making a more multiple engine compatible out of the way fuel tank).
Hey there, I will look into it as soon as possible as this is a good idea. I shall come back to you when I have a concept. Cheers, the GTG Mods Team
Like I didn't plan to do just that. Congratulations, you just delayed the update by a day. Still appreciate it for letting me know.
Hey everyone, The next update may be coming this Sunday, although that is not 100% guaranteed. Also, we have created a poll for everyone regarding this mod. Link to that is right here! Stay tuned, the GTG Mods Team

I'm having issues with the VRX badging not appearing. They did for a time but now they're showing no texture. I unsubscribed and resubscribed and cleared the cache, any other ideas?
Still after update same problem with " engine starved of oil" with in a couple seconds of spawning. seems to only happen with the VRX V8
Hi! this is a great mod, but i noticed a couple bugs. the 36 inch sleeper cab is invisible all except for the window and bed, and the normal sleeper cab, combined with the V8 engine and 4 axle frame makes the engine starve of oil. can u try to work out these bugs? THanks! --- Post updated --- By the way, this goes along with chevy65's comment on oil starving. i figured out it was the sleeper cab when i was just aimlessly roaming through the parts selector
