Actually thats an upgrade copy, you need a copy of windows 7 first.

Plus parallels itself is not free. Bootcamp has driver bugs. Leaves WINE which is entirely free.

Because Wine has no bugs or compatibility issues, right... Just use Bootcamp, it'll run so much faster then Wine and I haven't had any driver bugs for quite some time.

Never claimed Wine didnt have bugs or compatibility issues, but it does run BeamNG just fine.

My point still stands. Nearly £200 for a copy of windows vs totally free.

You sure glossed over them, you said Bootcamp has driver bugs which it really doesn't and you didn't say anything about Wine being notoriously buggy. What's your frame rate in Wine? What are your specs?

Do I own a mac? No.

On the other hand I have first hand watched a mac have repeated graphics driver crashes, refuse to accept keyboard input from anything other than an external USB keyboard and ignore all volume control instead opting for permanent max audio levels.
I have also witnessed BeamNG playing 30fps on a macbook pro (sorry, dunno the exact spec) under WINE with settings on low. I don't know the exact spec of that machine, its not mine, I dont think it had a dedicated GPU and I have seen windows laptops faring worse.

Still doesnt change £200 for a copy of windows (which bootcamp of course requires) vs absolutely free.

You're saying all this stuff and you've only seen BeamNG running on a Mac once and you don't even know anything about the computer it was running on? Wow, just wow.

Yes, Windows isn't free, I get it.

All to Bootcamp issues you listed sounds like the Apple drivers weren't installed correctly (which is soooo simple to do).

I can run BeamNG at mid-high settings with multiple cars at 30 FPS in Bootcamp. All be it with a new top of the line MacBook Pro, but still I'm sure the Mac you saw would run better in Windows.

Just because you've seen a Windows computer run BeamNG worse doesn't mean the Mac running it in Wine was running it well at all, I'm sure a PS2 would run it worse too.

Do some thorough testing on a Mac (preferably one you own) that was setup right before you make all kinds of false claims.

My only claims were that windows isn't free whereas wine is (which is not false unless false has been redefined overnight) and that wine can run BeamNG. I never made any claims to performance.

As to you claiming I gloss over things, that is highly hypocritical in my opinion considering your own glossing over of cost.

As for the machine which supposedly didnt have the apple drivers installed. That was *with* apples drivers.
