I still need to model the engine/transmission/turbo and then texture everything before I can start on the interior. I'm focusing on the Pigeon right now (interior for that is complete, just needs to be textured)

You do know when he will post a picture: When he is done texturing he will make a blogpost about it.

    Can it to that?
My guess is ~85mph (little under 137km/h), just because top gear ends there.
I know than they can hit to 60mph for sure, depending for gearbox, but all above that starts to be little too unstable.
Max. for normal older truck is probably without load
somewhere 85mph and depending to load weigh, between 60-75mph. on heavy weigh.
And downhill, you can just imagine how fast and unstable it will be when gear is off...

we got a 1976 kenworth up to 130mph with a load of pipe once, that rig was a v12 tho. the truck ive been driving as of late has an inline 6 and ive had it up to just above 90mph. top gear in thease things is made for mileage on flat ground, so its insanely high. your just above idle at 65 in mine at 10th gear, and you can get to 70 in 9th gear.

Hmm. It may be so, i had drive more trucks than had a shot gears then.
It may be than those long-hauling tucks has lot of longer last gear than in there, i know gravel trucks they got shorter gear ration than road trucks, but still, that sounds so insanity long last gear :D
One reason might to be, than in Finland, there is lots of hills, so insane long last gear is not popular in any way, and most of trucks (read: all) are European.

All the trucks in the UK are restricted to 56mph thats 90kph for you metric guys out there by government law and I suspect the true top speed of those trucks is well over 75mph..

The euro style trucks flat front does cause a drag penalty over an american truck supposedly which certainly wouldnt help their top speed, but considering the limiter does kick in while carrying a full load it stands to reason that they can certainly beat it.

The thing I hate more than any other on UK dual carriageways, when a car is driving slower than the trucks so a truck goes to overtake and blocks the road for those who are actually moving at reasonable speeds....

Yep. Top Gear did a truck episode years ago and one of the challenges was a top speed race with the limiters taken off. May did like 65, Clarkson did like 75 or 80 and Hammond did about 90.

God I remember that episode, but yeah I mean with it here we have the cabin over the engine you dont see very american long bonnet trucks here I guess it must be due to surface area they limit the speed on them and Clarkson did 80mph just to clear you up there... :)

Well, according to the queen's government, the governor is there to prevent accidents. Honestly, having all the trucks going 10-20 mph less than the cars sounds dangerous. This truck certainly shouldn't have one, though.

It's an American truck, it won't have a limiter at all.

its an American truck...it wont have a limiter because limiters never made it across the pond...

That was my point, its why it shouldn't have one. If it WAS a European truck, it could have one but it'd have to be toggle-able.

I agree with that but I think Gabester you should add an option saying 95mph limiter on or off...in the Parts config...what do you think?

Put a skewer in front so if someone isn't going fast enough you can just stab them.

I think it weighs enough that a skewer isn't really needed.
