Now you feel my pain. Haven't seen an HD video in almost a year, takes longer to load a 2 minutes video than to watch it, so I don't usually watch videos/Netflix/other media.
I recently went from having 10Mbps to having about 3Mbps with no chance of an upgrade for at least 3 years. It sucks.
Moved house, they said they could but in fibre but it turns out we are too far away from the cabinet so we have to wait "at least 3 years" for them to install more if we want to upgrade.
When you say Mb you mean MegaBit, not Byte, Right? Because 3Mb is a pretty terrible speed even for standard connection. And 10Mb for fibre is terrible. And to be fair, how is it that more places don't have fibre by now? It's been out more than long enough... And you can get faster speeds wirlessly over a mobile network? It doesn't seem right...
Yeah megabit, we have fibre here its just its got a stupidly low range of something like 2 miles from the cabinet. There is no mobile signal here either and all the data plans are stupidly limited otherwise its probably what I would have chosen.
Ouch. That's like dial-up when compared to what most people get nowadays. Our data packets go out to you...
I don't know all the fancy words... All I know is that I used to have 10Mb and it wasn't even enough to get 720p on Youtube. I can only imagine that pictures would struggle to load on 3Mb... And there is alot that I'd do for a taste of that 100Mb...
