I am currently trying to get some nice renders out of blender. My problem is that i have a white emission plane above the car to cause some awesome looking glossy reflections, but that also reflects on the black glossy floor.

Is there anyway to make that plane reflect on everything except the floor?

Personally I quite like the floor reflection. Although an ontopic answer: Nope, no idea how to change that, sorry.

The only way would be to make the floor of a non reflective material (You would lose the possibility of reflecting the car too) or, instead of using an emissive plane as light source, use the lantern as light source. Hope this helped :s

I must add that I do like the plane reflecting too, I just answered so you had an option if you didn't really like it for some reason :)

Did you try mixing a Transparent BSDF with the Emission BSDF?

It might hide the plane in the glossy. but Im not 100% sure, you could try.

Ignore that, found out how to do it:
select the emission plane and then go to the object tab (the orange cube)
Then go to the bottom an you will see a tab named Ray Visibility, open it.
now deselect the glossy and thats it, it will now show up in the glossy!
(if you are confused here is a pic:

Already messed with those settings, they prevent the object from reflecting in anything though. That means the car wont receive any of the cool reflections which would make having the object a little pointless.
