Let's be real here, BeamNG.Drive is pretty old now and I think better graphics can make this game look new !

Or just go back to CryEngine...

    "Pretty old now..."

Can we consider it being old if it's still under development? As far as I am concerned, graphics is a thing that will come once the Physics engine is fully fleshed out.

since it has been for over 4 years... YES.

not on an engine thats already sweating pulling off 2005's graphics xD. and the devs have officially stated that an engine change is off the table. so... NO.

I don't see what the problem is with the current graphics.

They're already demanding enough if you start spawning in 10+ vehicles.

Compare the first versions of the game to the current version and see how far the game has come graphically already. Sure they're not AAA-level drop-dead gorgeous but they're far more than good enough and the incredible environment and vehicle design easily make up for the shortcomings of the graphics

It was? I don't believe so...it's always been on Torque3D for the longest time.

OT: Like a few others have said, I think that Beam looks plenty good enough right now...the only thing I'd want is to have the graphics run faster and for the shadows to not be so incredibly CPU-intensive.

IIRC the devs said they wanted to change to an engine that supported vulcan, but they said that would be a nightmare, plus they would likely have to have a dx11 version also updated, as most IGPUs dont support Vulcan.

I don't cryengine 3 looks that much better than torque 3d, although it does have motion blur at least.

According to Nvidia's website, the GT 740 supports vulcan. Also you can upgrade your GPU, unlike in a laptop.

    I got this....

Intel Core i3-5005U / Integrated Graphics / 4 GB RAM

...in a laptop that I can't upgrade very much, if that will make you feel any better.
