Have you recently spotted any car-related mistakes in films?

I was recently watching Taxi 4, and in one scene, the taxi driver was talking about carburettor problems in his car. The problem is, said car was a Peugeot 407, which was only available with fuel injection.

Also, the Fast and Furious 8 Cuban race scene was a huge fail, because first, overheating car engines don't erupt in flames, and second, a burning engine likely wouldn't run, due to the hoses melting.

In some episodes of Arrested Development they use a 1980-86 Ford F-350 not the 1978 Ford F-350 which the show normally use

I remember hearing that they used three Kenworth's throughout the movie for Snowman's rig, but one was a special edition with some gold trim instead of silver. Not sure if that's true, haven't seen the movie in over a decade probably.

I suppose a burning engine could run, for a short period of time, as the hoses don't really do anything other than coolant circulation :)

There's a scene in Dirty Mary Crazy Larry where the Charger switches between 68 and a 69.

1968. I'm able to tell because it has the 68's signature four circular taillights.

    1969.

Well not just coolant circulation lol, there is vacuum hoses, pcv hoses, oil lines, fuel lines, abs lines, brake lines, ac lines, power steering lines, electrical connectors and harnesses and lots of other small things that keep an engine running... It'll run when burning but if it runs out of oil, or fuel it'll shut off. And wont start again unless everything is fixed and is not permanently damaged. A car engine is meant to be hot / survive extreme heats when running, but if its actually burning then it wont run forever.

And a car overheating and bursting into flames can happen in real life. There is tons of plastic and stuff inside an engine that can catch on fire. If a fuel line gets a leak and lands on the exhaust manifold, or a piece of an exhaust, the whole car can burst into flames quickly. Lots of things can happen that can cause a fire than you think.

And it doesn't just do coolant circulation lol. Lots of things happen at once than you might think. :)

It was first made in 1996, which means it's less than 25 years old so it's illegal to import one to the USA. Thank corporate lobbying for that :)

Even if one could get around that horrible import restriction we have, why would anyone here want one?

It also looks much bigger than it should be- it's as wide as the Crown Victoria beside it.
