Guys, this is the Update Speculation thread & not Update RELEASE Speculation, so hold yourself back a bit with the dates
It feels like 50% of the posts in this thread are from some smartasses which presume some random date on which the update releases. "oh, yes indeed i am speculating the next update is getting released on 30th february 2028, i dont know for sure but from the smell of my cats anus this seems to be correct." Dont get me wrong i am excited for the next update like all of you too. But this guessing is just pointless. I'm really thankful for all the guys who post screenshots from developers which are a bit hidden. Or these lists with the probability of included content and features for the next update. Or when an official statement is posted for a timeframe in which the next update is going to be released. Or the educated guesses based on videos and screenshots from developers. But its so annoying to plow through mainly shitposts to find the posts with actual information.
I feel like there is too much discussion about release date. It is similar to when hopper reveal caused too much hype. They probably won't tell us any release dates next time if it continues.
Yes there is too much hype and it has killed release of all info but I think that they got the ball rolling and now they are screwed hype wise.
Going back to the update itself... I think that there is a possibility for a proper Semi truck Transmission, as the current one Is terrible ( for me it is the most annoying thing in the whole game). With the sequential gearbox for sunburst coming, I think that they could have made a range box for all of us wheel users. It shouldn't be hard for them to introduce it and it would improve the T-series usability by 100%
I don't think that is the case at all. I don't understand why everyone sees "hype" to be such a negative thing. I mean of course there is such a thing as too much, but I personally think it is likely intentional. there are multiple reasons I can think of. for one they probably find entertainment in it (i know i would), it keeps them motivated to work and finish, and and it keeps/creates interest in the game. it causes people to constantly monitor their site and participate more in the community.
Perhaps so. Also, I remember that someone mentioned in the 0.10 feedback thread that real semi truck transmissions work very differently from most other vehicles' transmissions... If this system is implemented for the T-Series, then I'm quite sure that trucking fans are going to have a lot more fun with the truck.
just be glad it isn't an 18spd or two 4spd transmissions put together. now OT: I do hope they get a proper 80s semi truck sound.
So close to the updates release, what else are we supposed to talk about? We do this every update, and release dates are a part of releases... it's not like we are randomly guessing either, we have patterns and statements to base what we say off of. If you are only here to talk about teasers, you should realize that they won't be teasing stuff when an update is so close, so don't bother looking at this thread. Keep an eye out for the current version feedback thread being deleted instead if you want to know about an update 3 hours early...
To be honest, I would love 2 4-speed transmissions or an 18 speed transmission as long as we would get a good way to shift it like in American truck sim.
As, it was previously stated: qa branch means next to nothing when it comes to the update, and if it would mean something, all it would mean is that update isn't that close, since there weren't many qa branch updates.
It doesn't mean when they messed with the update... It means when the Steam database data was updated for that certain game to see if any info changed about it
