Well, make sure to delete the BeamNG folder from steam/SteamApps/common or else you may get some sort of missing DLL error.

You all spammed 5 pages in 45 minutes. That's impressive, considering there's nothing substantial to suggest an update is coming out soon. Just stop. Why is it so hard not to post? Just sit and wait patiently for the update to come out like a mature person. No one cares about the hype. As per the rules, you can do a joke post or two when an update is confirmed. Not when you think it's confirmed, not when you want it to be confirmed, when it is actually confirmed.

Just stop. This goes on too much, and the original point of this thread has been lost. It may be too late to avoid locking this thread again, but if the thread is locked soon I'll ask that it stay that way. It's time for this to die if the devs and moderators think so.

So this is my last warning.

Here are the rules for those who need to be reminded:
1. Each post must contribute. This is not a chat room. There are other threads for chatting. Off topic discussion will derail the thread and ruin the forum experience for everyone else

2. No random guesses. If you do not have some sort of proof to back up a claim, do not post it! We do not want to be spreading misinformation. Proof can be anything from a developer directly saying something, to files hidden in the game, cheeky screenshots posted by devs, or past development patterns
2a. It is OK to make an educated guess as to when an update will release, i.e. "It has been over a month since the last update and we have not heard anything from the devs. It is possible that we may get it at the end of the week." No "my gut says today." one day then "my gut says today." the next day.
3. There is no need for name, calling, swearing, or general stupidity. That type of talk will only serve to derail the thread.

4. Steamdb is not a valid source. The QA branch is updated daily by automated processes, and serves as no indicator as to when an update will release.

5. When an update is near, absolutely do not spam any sort of hype. Over 30 pages of crap were generated leading up to the release of 0.9, and that is not helpful.
5a. Places where you can't have fun suck, so when an update is confirmed near (Previous thread locked/removed, Tdev posting Europe's the final countdown, or otherwise alluding to writing a blogpost or something) you can have 2 memes/shitposts. Anything over that would be considered spam, and should be removed. Go read a book, take a walk, play Beamng or anything else while we wait for it to be released.
6. Report any rule breaking posts and move on. Do not reply to the post, do not mention the off topicness, do not pass go, do not collect $200. That just gives the moderators more work.

 

I'm usually okay with some spam stuff, but seriously guys? What was that, 4 pages in 40mn??? Wait until the discussion thread is deleted before the spam, seriously.... that thread being deleted will be the confirmation, not an update the size of a 5 second video... Absolutely no reason for this spam...

Welp, this thread is gone. The update is coming today, though. The devs are just trolling us at this point if they don't, what with patterns, fake updates, etc...

 

lol i seen an BeamNG update a moment ago on steam but it wasn't anything it said scheduled for 10:42pm so i started it anyway and it wasn't anything it... 0bytes? maybe its coming by tonight? .. i never get empty updates so its a sign the devs are doing something though it seems.. as that blank update was was a smoke signal for an Update

 

Tbh I don't care if this thread goes away permanently or not, people just shitpost the same thing over and over along with over-speculating an update's release date.

Tdev said "~end of November," that's your clue. 0.11 will have WCA along with nitrous, updated transmission and exhaust codes, better file updating, improved torque simulation and better suspension.
