IMO the track is amazing but the city itself and the highway system is too small to do any kind of wangan high speed racing or to actually feel like you are in the city. I hope the map gets a lil bit of an expansion, if i assume the island with the closed of bridge is an indication.

As for performance, the map runs well. It runs really damn well, unless i am driving across a few parts of the city.

Its meh. Definately not enough to offset the damage 0.11 caused to my mod projects.

The map feels too arcade like in the mountainous sections.

The map runs horribly on my machine, though its due to Dynamic Reflections being on.

I get 9 FPS (a bit low for my computer, at least 15 on ECUSA) but I can deal with it.

My Blue Collar mod will need an entirely new suspension and frame, its incredibly unstable now.

My Barstow unibody mods were broken somewhat by changes in the Barstow JBeam.

I haven't even seen the damage done to my maps yet :(

    Anyway, enough offtopic.

I just am dissapointed with WCUSA. Too cramped, meh appearance, and it just doesn't feel right to me.

But who am I to complain, I didn't make it, sooo... Just useless opinions.

Seems like your having the same problem and my SRT demon mod for BeamNG.

Suspension is weird, hood never appears, engine sounds are gone, etc.

Ok i got offtopic, back on topic someone else?

Ugh, every single damn static object is merged together here :/

Its almost like the devs dont want us to use any of the urban objects in any other maps :(

I know the map is bigger and the fact that the highway separates the map in 3 but to me the map feels very small. For me and my old computer the map is a bit laggy like JRI but it dose look pretty. The tram tracks don't make any sense since some areas don't have a X crossing. I don't like the way the map's roads end, it feels a bit cheap. Utah did a good job with the edge of the map bridge near the tourist zone with the broken bridge. I'm happy to see a actual hospital, police and fire station. I also like the racing center but it really should have been its own map to make the city bigger.
Overall for me the map is too lackluster to really get into due to my outdated computer and the lack of closing roads off in a non cheap way. Note: I do not hate this map and I'm not smart enough to make a map 20% of the scale of small Island USA.

The reason I like WCA because I like how it is more in-depth than the other maps and it is great having an official city map.

Yeah i agree with many opinions here. Its too late to change anything and i like having so many stuff in a single map, when we have the story mode it can reduce loading times, but i also feel like if they were able to make this into 2 or 3 different maps (the desert with highway, the city, and the racetrack) it would have even more detail without feeling small.

After checking the info, i realized that the map was the same size as ECU and JRI. I think there lies the issue. The devs wanted to cram in too much content into such small proportions.

I think you've nailed it. I personally liked the idea of having Hirochi Raceway and ECA (along with Port, Industrial, and Derby Arenas) being split into separate maps. That way, if I wanted to go off to a big racetrack, I could have Hirochi. If I wanted to explore some forests, I could head over to ECA. If I wanted to drift around a port or head over to some small courses, Port and Industrial can fit my needs there very well. Derby Arenas allows me to focus specifically upon destroying cars within a confined space on six different arenas. That's why I enjoy playing these maps; they focus upon one or two specific things within their given space. I don't know why some people consider dev-made maps to be "terrible"; they're excellent, to be honest, and can have tons of variety within their small space. For example, with Industrial, there's four tracks that can be taken in multiple different ways, a small industrial section which is perfect for rallying, jumps aplenty all over the map, some really fun roads to drive on, and perhaps a few other things that I missed. That's all within a 1-kilometer-square area, and that's why it was one of my favorite maps until I started playing VR City for its chase aspect.

The thing is that, with WCA, it's far too much stuff in far too little space. Having the motorsports park placed in the middle of the map seems really awkward to me, and its size is overwhelming to the point where it dwarfs every other aspect of the map. 4 square kilometers is just not enough space to truly expand all of the elements of WCA. The city is far too small, the highways are much too short and don't loop around very neatly (unlike Utah's system of looping the tunnel to make the highway feel much larger), and it seems too much like a hodgepodge of random details. If it were split into 2 or 3 maps (one for a much larger version of Belasco and the suburb, with a highway or two to connect them; one for a huge highway system that heads into some forests and through some massive mountain roads and trails, with perhaps a small town or two and some cool landmarks to encourage exploration; and one for the motorsports park and JUST the motorsports park, with a few surrounding details like at Hirochi Raceway), then it'd work brilliant.

I agree. Again, i understand. They didn't want to make it a resource hog but they didn't want to have too many different maps to have loading screens for the campaign mode, but the entire place just feels awful in an aesthetic sense. The racetrack its fine. Although i wish the drift track was more of an actual parking lot, you are still given a dragstrip, 3 different asphalt racing setups, and a dirt baja track, but if they wanted to make all of the map features (a port, a city, a highway system, a suburban hood, a racetrack, and a mountain pass across a small hill) to flow in a realistic manner they should have made the map bigger by a lot.

After all, not many IRL racetracks can fit there. Hell, Suzuka, which is not exactly the biggest racetrack around, is 5.8 km of distance. That's almost 150% the area of the entire map and it shows.

But Alas, like i said. Its too late, and i doubt the team will remove the map to remake it since they spent so much time in it. Italy is shaping up to be better tho.

IMO it's the best city map in BeamNG. But I found that this map is a bit too cramped. Who cares, I still like it.

    Agreed all the way!

    UPDATE

Any suggested new computers to run BeamNG? Mine is running west coast at 10-15 fps in the city. i need a new pc that can at least hit 20 fps, at max.

    Ok i got off-topic. Sorry.
