First off, find the turbo sound in the game files. (Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/BeamNG.drive/Content/audio/art/sound/turbocharger/turbo_03.ogg Replace that with another turbo sound. (Rename the turbo sound to turbo_03.ogg to replace it.) Remeber to create a backup! Just in case something fails!!!!!
It asks for a password on my end to extract it to even make a backup, care to share it or would that infringe on some kind of beam copyright?
Here's what i did: Created a new folder on my desktop, and named it "backup" and just dragged the old turbo sound into that folder, and in with the new inside the original turbo folder. So if that turbo sound i don't like, or don't want it anymore, i can just drag the one from my backup folder i created and replace the one inside the turbocharger folder.
Forgive me if I am being incompetent here but this is what happens when I try to drag it into a backup folder. Edit: I can try replacing it with a same named file but I wanted to make a backup like you said
Mine's doing that to.. When the update first came out it let me drag it into a folder, now there's a password Ok then..
That is strange...I wonder if they somehow turned on the password for it while they fix it? But that seems kinda impossible since its downloaded game files and not files updated as soon as they make changes (unless you download the "new" changed files) hopefully that makes sense lol
I guess they don't want anybody changing the turbo sounds.. Because they are going to update it, whew.
See now I'm confused...how did it just sprout a password? I know the main engine sounds are unable to be edited due to having a password (that has been know since the major sound update) but to have this file be able to be changed then all of the sudden have a password. Idk..its just very strange
thx for helping me in the other post i didn't understand 100% --- Post updated --- mine didn't do that --- Post updated --- mine didn't work or do what you said
