Cheers! Tell the other side (you a guy or a girl? don't remember. Durpdurp) of the relationship to leave the pc be. >:D
    Really though, good luck!
EDIT: Specs? I am upgrading and am curious. 3770k and 290 wasn't it? (Why can I kinda remember that but not gender??)

    She's a girl bud. ;) As for specs it stands as the following; 7950, 7970, 3770K, H100, SS M12II 650W, 16GB Ram, Asus MVG Z77, all wrapped in a cute little 350D.

But if you every need to sell those cards outside the mining bubble I'll drop in. If I work over the summer I am building something reasonable, but with folding power. Eyeing a 4770k with birthday money.

Yeah I'm going to wait until after my birthday until nvidia releases their 800 series cards (which is hopefully in q1) to upgrade. I will most likely go with a 8320/8350 and either a 280x, or something comparable on nvidia's side if they have decent pricing this time around.

Never bought them for mining, had them before. I suggest going for gpu over a cpu for your biggest bang/buck. A cpu upgrade considering the cost really doesn't provide too much of a difference when coming from the cpu you have.

Well, I have a 270x coming in from RMA, and the 870 is limiting my games. It isn't compute only. :p I figure that with the 800 series launching soon and the mining bubble bound to burst I will be able to get a GPU cheap while the 4770k with a motherboard for $340 is a great deal. I also want to see what the 800 series has in store for compute.

I would really doubt an 870 is holding your games back if my old C2Q doesn't even bottleneck this 7970. :p

Yeah I understand that, but my FX-4300 performs pitifully in BeamNG. Plus I frequently am rendering videos and would benefit from the upgrade in the cpu department.

Edit: oh and is there an easier way to get to groups? It seems like such a hassle to get to the folding group.

Oh sorry meant to say that to Bubble. 4300 could use an upgrade then yeah. 8350 is a really solid cpu, my friends 8350 benchmarks within spitting distance of my 3770K.

Wow. I never truly looked at the benchmarks. I had no idea it was anywhere near a 3770k.

Published benchmarks say otherwise, but ones performed by myself and my friend seem to say they are more or less equal. Real world performance is absolutely the same between the two, you'd never notice.

Right, but BNGD eats cores. A 4770k at 4.2ghz would near double my 870 in some tasks.
If you subscribe to the group it shows up in the usercp.

Yeah I am subscribed, it still is a bit annoying to get to though.

Gah, can't fold. Troubleshooting. It crashed overnight and I have no idea why.

Folding again. I will not be folding on the weekend though.
I have a problem though. Upgrade to a 270x now, wait for the 280x to go back to $299, or see what the GTX 8xx series has in compute. Meh. I think I will wait for the 8xx, but my 7770 is acting funny.

I would wait to see how the 800 series does in compute. If it isn't good enough then by that time the 280x should drop to 300$. I pretty much have to wait until then because I can't afford 420$ on a 280x.

Guys, I can fold origami. Does that count?

I know what folding is, and maybe if I get the cooler I can do some or you guys.
