I've been playing through Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 on PC. I really miss the DLC I have on PS3, I put so many hours into this back then and loved the (albeit overpriced) DLC. I just played a race with only Porsche's which was titled "No Substitute". I am guessing this is supposed to be a jab at another game which had to use RUF instead of Porsche for liscensing reasons, anyone know if they had a specific game in mind? I know GT5 came out around the same time and had RUF and not Porsche, but I can't imagine an arcade game dev would bother joking about a game which they weren't competing with at the time.

 

Yesterday I went shopping at Toys R Us and bought 5 new diecast cars (excluding the trailer as it is obviously not a car ).
Left to right: 1978 Dodge Li'l Express, Mazda RX7, Volkswagen Beetle, '72 Volkswagen T2 Pickup, and '72 Chevy Vega Wagon. The Volkswagen Beetle, T2, and trailer are part of a Greenlight Hollywood set, Gremlins. Also the Chevy Vega is a Johnny Lightning, and the other two are Hot Wheels.

 

Hey, I've been having some serious slowdowns lately. When I spawn a new car (sometimes, it happens randomly), alt+tab, change window size, etc, my FPS drops to 8. Is anyone else having this issue? I need to know because a clean reinstall would take ~ 8 days on my internet.
Happens in safe mode, clear cache, verified integrity, 0.11.0.1, and only tested on WCUSA.

Glad it's not just me, as it's been quite unplayable lately.
Quick question, do you have ReShade? It happens without it, but slightly more often with it.

 

Should I just re install windows onto my ssd, or take the time to figure out how to get windows onto it with a backup, but keeping my other files on my hdd

 

No... Im just playing, and all the sudden the game says "Oh, he is having fun, lets cut the framerates down to 8 or 9". Change the car or do anything that involves reloading phyisics? Framerates dip. resize the window? Framerates suffer a crash worse than the stock market.

 

I wonder if it has anything to do with the smart vSync, that or the lua memory upgrade. I tried running without vSync, but no change.
