I have never been in a RHD car or even used a videogame with the h-gate on the left, but the other day I tried to change gears with my left hand. It might have something to do with watching 10 episodes of Top Gear
Does anyone here actually now if antilag and blow off valves are legal or illegal as it would be awesome to have a blow off valve in my car as i love the sound
Blow-off valves? Should be fine, as they're an essential part of turbocharged cars (which are getting much more common nowadays, in the interest of fuel economy), but you may have to pay higher insurance for it. As for anti-lag, I don't believe that that would be street-legal whatsoever, as it would be noisy and produce higher emissions.
I see one everyday its for sale and my brother was thinking about it but theyre not as reliable as they should be for a daily
I have never been in a LHD car. I always play racing games with the stick on the left, even if its a left hand drive car in game. Since that is what I am used to in real life. Strangely RHD cars in games generally feel a bit weird to me, but in real life I would find LHD very odd. I guess my brain has separated the two entirely.
Most factory turbos aren't blow off, they're recirc --- Post updated --- Thought you don't even have a turbo petrol? Diesels and N/A cars will never dump
It bugs me more than it should not having it match the car I'm driving. The plus side is I can switch mentally between them pretty much on the fly now (most of the time anyway). Same with road side thanks to ETS2. I really want to try both in real life now to see how well it carries into the real world.
So I wonder, is possible for a human to shift a normal (i.e. not faceplated) manual transmission as fast as a typical mid-2000s paddle box shifts itself, without breaking the shifter or some part of the gearbox?
Hey guys, possible noob question incoming. I drive a 2011 honda civic si with a 1.8l inline 4, naturally aspirated engine. Ive saved up some bank and have decided that I am ready to start building it up. My price range ideally would be around 300 dollars, but I dont plan on tampering with my ecu until ive got some proper hardware. So my question is, what is the best cheap way to make more horses. I was thinking about an exhaust- perhaps a new midpipe, or maybe new manifold though they can get pricey
Such news has happened recently. BMW Is Recalling Every American i3 Because Someone Might Get Hurt If They Don't Wear A Seat Belt : https://www.carthrottle.com/post/bm...might-get-hurt-if-they-dont-wear-a-seat-belt/ What's next? (insert automaker) is recalling every car because someone might be killed if they drove 10000 km/h? Srsly?
You will want to get supporting mods first. They won't give you much more HP now, but they will ensure the engine will last long enough to give you some in a years time. Also, tyres. They are the only thing holding you to the ground. So if you are running cheap ones, consider upgrading. If you are able to spin the wheels they might give you better acceleration, otherwise its all in the cornering and braking. Presuming they last long enough to see more engine power they will also help you put it to the ground.
ECU map. I've done it on my diesel Bimmer and I paid next to nothing for it. It's the first thing you should do if you want a bit of horsepower for cheap. Then again, Hondas aren't supposed to be powerful, they're economy cars after all. If I were you I'd just keep it stock and enjoy the fuel economy, something that I really lack in my 318i lmao. And hey, with the money you save up on fuel, you can just buy a better car in a year or two.
I saw a white one like that in my local junk yard on Saturday. It had no engine or transmission, but it did have a manual because it had a clutch.
