To help get rid of lag use Collision Mesh instead of Visible Mesh, that will decrease lag if you have a ton of statics.
Update broke my map, dammit https://www.beamng.com/threads/terr...nd-world-editor-wont-open-after-update.49239/
Good and bad news: I can finally open the world editor again, I need to find the terrain file to make the terrain how it was, hopefully it isn't deleten or overwritten..
VERY GOOD NEWS, Terrain is fixed (I just needed to change some code and delete the 'old' terrain) Water is looking strange but I can continue!
And there's another patch texture, it's like 100 pixels wide, you use it on a size 1 wide road. You lay it overtop (overtake with priority # less than roads underneath), and lay it over the white line to blend the road better. If you want to make a highway, look at my maps So-Cal Interstate and Nevada Interstate. Feel free to use my road textures. So-cal has black and grey highway texture sets. They're 100% finished. Nevada has a nice concrete set that's rather worn but 100% complete. They grey/black sets here aren't as good as So-Cal's as they were made previous. Edit: By default, the terrain ends up being saved, on a new map, to /levels/ directory instead of in levels/flatmap/ or whatever your map directory is named (I used that as an example, and an inside joke among mappers, take no offense). So yes, move terrain and re-align the code for your theterrain.ter entry in the main.level.json or whatever it's called this version (as you mentioned you have). I don't know why the editor does this. It's unintended and SHOULD BE FIXED *HINT HINT*.
Just a 'little' update: on the second photo, the left side will be edited (not done YET), also, the town on the last photo will be edited.
