Okay so when I turn on the game volume, it's stuck on which I assume is max volume. My earplugs don't influence the volume because the sound stays the same no matter what volume I put my earplugs' sound on. When I use the game to lower sound the ENGINE MOTOR NOISE sound still stays on a volume where I feel like there's gunfire going on inside my car.
    Please help!

Do you have a seperate volume dial on your headphones its self? Maybe check the headphone settings in the windows thing.

I have had a similar, strange issue to this for quite a while... it never bothered me, but it is an issue that I have had through the last 3 updates...

My tower has internal speakers, and beam (for some reason) always runs its sound through my tower speakers at full volume. Whether I have headphones plugged in, set up wireless, or have sound coming through my screen (I use a small TV because it's all I have) it always comes out of my tower. It even shows up in the sound mixer as being set on the tower speakers only and I seem to have no way of changing it... I have no idea why this is, but it sounds similar to your issue.
