I don't know if this it's working properly, the diesel engines sounds like the old engine sound, far from a diesel sound. All the itens appears and works well.
I know they aren't the best sounds, but for never creating or messing with audio files before this is the best i can do. Did you have my mod before my 1.5 update? and if so did that sound better to you?
No man, i think that the sound it's not alterated, like the mod it's not working 100% here. The diesel sounds like the old V8 engine used in D-Series. --- Post updated --- These diesel sounds, are the same of this mod? Because i don't know how it supposed to be. This mod works on the 0.10v?
I believe you have a mod conflict, I would disable any d-series mods to see if anyone is causing it. Also, you are running on most recent beamng update right? 0.11.02... If your still on old beamng (0.10...) use my mod version 1.4. Most recent beamng... use mod version 1.5. https://www.beamng.com/resources/6-0l-and-6-7l-diesel-for-d-series.2525/historyImproved
So, I've been trying to get custom sounds that work without overwriting the default sounds, and as far as I can tell, your mod is the only one that does so. I've looked through the files, but I cannot figure out why this mod doesn't overwrite the stock sounds, and sounds from other D-series engine mods, while mine do. So could you help me a bit, and explain what you did to get yours to work?
Yeah it was a pain. So going off my files... Have your new sounds in the common/sounds folder. Make sure new sounds have unique names with your "default_sounds.sbeam" file. You can copy mine to go off of for reference. This must keep the default sounds and you can have a new entries for your new sounds in there, make sure under its own sound group for your new sounds other then 'default'. Lastly make sure your engine jbeam file has your correct new sounds group name. Something like this as example. "pickup_engine_blah": { "information":{ "authors":"you", "name":"blah_blah", "value":2200, }, "engine":{ "soundGroup":"newSoundGroupNameHere", },
Huh, that actually did it. Well thanks, I never would've though of that myself. I guess putting it in the common folder prevents it from overwriting the stock sounds, while still leaving it available. Thanks for the help.
MasterFluffy updated 6.0L and 6.7L Diesel for D-Series with a new update entry: 6.0L and 6.7L Diesel for D-Series - v1.6 patch, better sounds, fixes for 0.12 Read the rest of this update entry...
What game version are you running on... I'm on 0.12.0.2 and i know for sure its working fine there... Also, are you using the newest mod version... I just pushed out version 1.6.
I'm not sure what to tell you... If your other mods are disabled and your using newest mod version and newest game version, last option is to clear your cache... I talked to a few buddies of mine... they are using this mod with no sound problems...
it wasn't the repo doing it ;~; --- Post updated --- it was just a broken download XD --- Post updated --- redownloading it fixed it
