    The Vendetta, while recognizably similar to a C3 corvette, has some of its own styling cues.

    The front, there will be 2 different grille assemblies, and 2 different headlight designs. One will be factory original C3, the other being custom, based off of elements from other cars and/or real custom parts for the C3.

    There will be 2 "versions" of the Vendetta;

    One version will be as close as the mod can be at this point to an original C3, and it will have fictional model years from 1966-1969. The facelift version, with fixed headlights and a redesigned grille, to name the 2 parts already made, will run from 1970-1972. After 1972, things will become purely fictional. Albeit, in a separate mod. More on that in a sec.

    Moving on to the hood, it's latched and hinged like a typical car hood, as opposed to the reverse opening hood found on a real C3. On the interior, I am featuring custom door panels, and the center area of the dash only features 4 gauges instead of 5. This was due to the fact that I decided to use the Barstows gauge cluster textures, as for they were quite literally the same kind of design as the C3 gauges, or atleast close enough.

    As for the roof, I've decided to go with the hardtop roof design. While the car isn't a hardtop convertible, I personally liked the roof design more than the T top roof design. I can also add T-tops to this later, though it isn't an immediate design goal.

    The rest of the rear pretty much screams stock C3, though I do plan on eventually adding some different parts and accessories.

    Now, let's cover the next gen Vendettas.

    For 1973, all gavril production halts due to federal regulations they were not prepared for. Cited will be 5mph crash bumpers, though this isn't the only reason.

    In 1974, a new Vendetta takes the stage.

    This Vendetta is going to be blockier, bulkier, and more hideous looking than any american car at this time was.

    Gone is pure sports car parts. Back are the much cheaper to produce solid axle rear suspension setups, or optional swing axle suspension, in place of the independent rear suspension. Also, you wont be able to get a V8 in this, as for they were not legal in all 50 states due to strict emissions laws.

    Instead, there will be 2 engine options; a 4 cylinder engine like the "Iron Duke" as seen in later GM cars, or a trustworthy i6, that you can only count on it breaking when you need to get groceries.

    To keep production costs down, heavier steel is used instead of fiberglass to create the cars body panels. And to comply with federally mandated crash protection bumper laws, it now sports bulky 5mph crash bumpers front amd rear.

    Did I mention groceries earlier? Yes, because this thing is now the worst economy car in America, quite possibly the world. It still lacks a trunk, a back seat, and now it RUSTS, and rusts very quickly.

    Between 1974 and 1982, it cost Gavril so much money that they ditched the car market alltogether to focus on trying to regain lost money with their much more successful trucl lines.

    Enough lore. Maybe I will stick to it, maybe I wont.

    I plan on designing the next gen Vendettas after the late gen C3s, and the 3rd gen Chevelles, with plenty of design elements from other cars of the era as I go.

    If you go back a few pages, I uploaded some concept art I made out of a C3 print. I am planning more drawings, though that first one captures the general design I will be going for.

    Sorry for the text wall :p I was really bored and was answering your question.

    The 423 is kinda taking the place of the 454, and it will be strictly an aftermarket racing engine in this case, though the other engines will have some options to make them more race ready, aswell as supercharger options on all of the engines to some degree.

    I would see the 423 as the engine of choice for drag racers, or those who are looking for the most power they can stuff into a small somewhat light platform.

    I have an idea.

    Since I was thinking about the Bolide last night, I copied the Vendetta's dae file, and slapped on Bolide parts.

    What I think, is you are making me sick to my stomach with that shading :p

    Let me do the extra parts. The only way to properly do the shading is to use a raw .blend file with the Auto Smooth data and Sharp edge data.

    Keep working on skins, I can take care of extras.

    I genuinely love how the car looks with those parts as a mock up.

    I really like the idea of having a version of the Vendetta that reflects a manufacturers struggles to keep up with silly/annoying regulations, I hope you stick to that part at least.

    Note that I said that the next generation model will be its own mod :p

    But it will be tied closely into this mod so I guess you could call them one in the same :p

    Eh, Idk. It will be fictional, and probably wont push the file size up too far, so it may be included in a future mod update when I do make it? We will see anyway...

    I decided to make the pre-facelift configs;
    configs.jpg
    So far I have Base, Sport, Road Sport, GT, and GT/RS configs, along with the original test configs that I forgot to delete :p I won't spoil the surprise of what each configs settings are, I will hold that one off for now.

    These configs don't mean the mod's close to done, it means that I have enough in game now to start chipping away at it. There's still alot of under the panels stuff I still need to do.

    I added in Heavy Duty springs and shocks, front and rear. Racing springs and shocks are coming, I just need to fine tune everything.

    As for engines, I added in the 291 and the 423. I added in a Stage 1 supercharger (More soon,) and I have set up various tuning packages for the 291 and 353. These range from basic off the shelf factory parts, to full on racing setups. And each setup affects the engine differently. So a Road Sport will react a bit differently than a GT or base package, even though they may have the same engine.

    I will be working (hopefully,) with atv_123 on a special engine setup for the 423, but if that falls through, I will just fall back on the tuning setups I have in play with the 291 and 353.
