The third championship is now over, so what should we do for the fourth?
Personally, I think a flex competition would work. You could use a different car and different tune each competition, as long as it has the same performance rating.
Also, I will participate in all 3 this time.

I would love to see championship 4 be where we time ourselves not in game, and do it at oval tracks. but that's my opinion, plus i'm coming back in championship 4 as well.

what i mean is we get out a stopwatch since most oval tracks mod or not don't have their own time trials.

I didn't enter, but I did try a race or two after the fact. Personally I would love to enter if the races weren't those generated races, but scenario's on (vanilla) maps.

I don't think that I'd want them on Utah, though...I can't even open that (but I can open every other map, strangely enough.

OT: Personally, I think that this whole "one-car championship" was a bit too limiting, to be honest. Sure, it was fun, but the thing is, I was far too caught up in 0.11, the CRD, and my current writing project. The Bolide 320 tune that you (@BombBoy4) provided was fantastic, but I just had far too many things going on at the time. However, I think that weight classes should be interesting.

I'll let these lists do the explaining for me (everything under Class B should have a lightened flywheel, while everything above should have an ultra-light flywheel, by the way.)

Drift competitions/2 wheel competitions? There are mods for calculating those, so it is plausible.
For the official Racing Championship 4 I think we should do weight class 3 performance class C (though I'm not sure enough people participate to be worth it, but that's what polls are for), and then we could have a quick side-competition in the middle.
    Sound good everyone?

This is actually a good idea. If we're going to have side competitions involving drifting and two-wheeling, then we could have two to four people per team: one or two people who do drifting, and one or two people who do two-wheeling. Also, teams could possibly be competing with either the same car or different cars, built in different, similar, or identical ways (within the specs).

My only question is how would we score it? Average the scores?

I'm not sure what he means, either. However, I was thinking about your decision to use Weight Class 3, Performance Class C, and I was wondering if we could expand this to Weight Class 5, Performance Class C. Also, we could perhaps drive on...

    *A procedural track
*One of the Industrial Rallycross layouts - I'm thinking Perimeter should do well
*The Industrial Drift circuit with the Drift UI app
*One of the Gridmap ramps with the 2-wheeling app
*A race around JRI - perhaps the Hillclimb or Road Race should do well

...to give a bit more variation.

Maybe add a little rallycross? Or should I leave that to the official rally championship.
I think we could expand it to classes 3, 4, and 5 because that would give room for midsize vehicles, as well as light duty trucks. Expanding a single championship to m,ultiple areas would be fun, and having more than just races would also increase the skill needed. Rough draft for next championship:
    1. Very power-biased procedural track
    2. 1-minute drifting on Hirochi Raceway
    3. One of the JRI quickraces
Any more feedback? Saturady is already here, but I can start it Sunday.

The thing is, no matter how much power bias a procedural track has, it just won't be enough to counter those power-biased cars' lack of handling. The JRI hillclimb or road race will put an emphasis on power, though. A big emphasis on power.

I think that having weight classes 3, 4, and 5 is a brilliant idea, as several vehicles can fit into more than one weight class (Barstow, Moonhawk, Burnside, perhaps a couple others), and allow for greater diversity.

Averaging out the points between the drift competition and the 2-wheeling competition is a great idea, in my opinion. It'd mean that both team members would have to do well in their respective competitions for the team to win.

Yesterday, I found out that I could run Utah at 30 FPS with a Pigeon, or 26 FPS with a '96 Pessima, so if we want to head to Utah for the Mixed Stage race, I'd be totally fine with that.

I think that, for a more polished draft of our championship...

    *Utah Mixed Stage
*A handling-based procedural track, like this one....
    screenshot_00240.png
*Drift competition at Hirochi Raceway/2-wheeling competition on Gridmap
*ECA Backroads Course 1 (3 laps)

    ...these might be suitable.

Also, I'd like to make a team. I'm going to be driving an ETK I-Series for this championship, so if anyone wants to join me, feel free to PM me or mention me on my profile. I'll be doing the drift competition at Hirochi.

If a car fits the rulebook, but is not listed here, can you use it?

    Depends, what is said car?

Will be setting up the thread soon, so get your members ready. Just mention them in a post in the thread.

No mods in any official competition, but I was thinking we'd have a modded side-competition at some point.

I think using the WCUSA "Touge Mountain" would be a good choice.
