Afterfire not showing

Hi,

I can hear the afterfire "popping" but I cannot see it. Would it be my settings? I play with everything on normal.

 

Afterfire only happens in extreme conditions, most of the time you just hear those pops.

Try a super high powered car with no exhaust system (if you remove the ehxaust, make sure to look under the engine, not the rear of the car), that should be enough to get visible flames.

Do you know what cars actually have fire? I've tried a lot and none of them seem to have it.

 

Try some tuned vehicules, that might work.

 

I have used very powerful cars and none of them seem to have flames. I have used the tuned versions of the Ibishu 200BX and they don't either.

 

Did you tried to force the engine (Go in N, hit the acelerator for 5 seconds, and you will maybe see some sparks.)

Covet Track version usually works for me.

 

most of the car do it for me only the hopper dont, try the d serie with the 5.5 v8 and remove the whole exhaust and mufler and watch under the engine, and if it doesnt show anything then it might be related to graphic seting ingame.

 

Whether or not you can see flames also depends on what exhaust is on the car. Without any you should see them from the headers I guess, otherwise only certain exhausts give flames. Amount of horsepower does not have any influence on amount of flames if the exhaust simply doesn't allow them to begin with, like most (if not all?) stock exhausts in game. Only the race ones generally show flames iirc. Also for some reason I personally seem to get less flames on the west coast map.. But haven't tested enough to properly confirm this

Thanks for the reply Nadeox. I'll do a clean install when I have internet again haha. I do think it's my mods. My game has a weird pink tinge on all of the maps so there must be something wrong.

I've tried that, I think it's my mods now.

I have actually been doing all my testing on that map.. I'll try it on a different map and if it still doesn't work then it must be my mods.

Thanks for everyone replying. Turns out it's the west coast map. I am honestly stupid for not trying another map. But I do have a weird pink tinge so I will be doing a full redownload anyway.
