The Caprice walks all over the Z4 (C=Caprice Z=Z4: Safety: Z Fame Level: C Performance: Z Price: C Comfort: C Reliability: C (Surprising, Right?) And, once you're done with your great Caprice, go wreck it in a field! Or enter it in a demolition derby. Or make a movie with it! The possibilities are, well, there's at least 8. And, although the Z4 looks like a fun roadster, it actually falls low on that leaderboard. But having said that, the Caprice is probably lower. But, there we have it. If you find out that I was wrong on anything, please correct me. And now you can duke it out in full Chevy VS BMW war, to see which one is better. And, yes, I did just do commercial for the Caprice...
Sorry but there is no way any car from 1977 is safer than a 2009 BMW. If you have a crash at high speed in the caprice, you'll either be crushed inside a pile of twisted metal, or impaled by a glorious 1970s steering wheel. The BMW has airbags, crumple zones, etc. all of which make it much more safe. As for performance, the BMW would easily beat the caprice around any track. The caprice could maybe beat the german in a straight line, with a modified engine.
Z means Z4, you read it wrong. --- Post updated --- I like the Caprice more, but that could be because I'm a hipster.
Holden Caprice > Chevrolet Caprice --- Post updated --- I don't think that many people in my area will know about the Caprice since it wasn't sold here. (I'm in Malaysia)
The Holden Caprice actually was the Chevrolet Caprice in America. Sold only to police departments, but as it's been in this world for some time, some are now getting auctioned into private hands. --- Post updated --- I'd say both cars have reliability issues. The Z4 is typical modern BMW - runs great until something breaks down, and it will be something really expensive. The Impala is typical malaise GM - never really runs properly, but it rarely dies due to a failure, and is relatively cheap to fix.
The Impala isn't a unreliable GM car like you describe it, alot of people i've talked to who owned a Caprice/Impala told me that it is a fantastic car.
