Picked up a new (To me) pair of rather large loudspeakers and decided to make the joint a little more festive.

Really wish I had a better place for that CD player.

    Christmas holidays have commenced...
I have spent rather a lot on christmas presents
In 3 Chrome windows i found the same christmas song tab ("I Wish It Could be christmas every day") so i fired up my machine and heard 3x unsynchronized wizzard songs :p. Although i can now basically sing the song without lyrics :p (maybe i have watched it every day of december).
But why oh why is it a Tuesday?? Why not a Friday.. :(
Oh well, roll on Christmas and New year.
And this Year 11 GCSE stuff will make this holiday faster than ever before.. (blink and its gone)
Year 11 will probably make the summer longer than ever though.
Time is annoying :p , when you want it to go fast it seems slow, when you want it to go slow it shoots by.

I'm quite surprised by the backlash that Star Wars: The Last Jedi has received lately. There's even a petition against it.

The Force is strong with them I guess.

12" woofers, 7" Mid, 4" mid/ low high's, 1" horn tweeters and lots of lovely fiberglass insulation, all Alnico Magnet design which is about right for the era these where made, 1965. And as with all speakers I purchase, I always upgrade them from screw terminals to Banana Jack's

I agree the screw terminals are a massive pain in the arse for pretty much no reason. Like moving speakers can get annyoing as if the wire comes out then you have to take the screw out etc and wire it again. Very annoying! so thankfully banana jacks exist :)

Not only that but screw terminals are also easier to accidently short, and amplifiers don't like having their outputs shorted, usually results in output transistor explodication.

my electronics teacher blew a capacitor on purpose a few days ago, there were capacitor guts on anything in a 6 ft radius he also shorted out a 100 volt one and welded a screwdriver to the terminals all in the name of education of course :p

It's fun watching caps explode when you're expecting it, not so much when it's a giant filter cap that fails to reform after years of not being used... Cap guts and electrolyte all over the inside of an old amp and my room stank of fish for days.

Starbucks, if you're not gonna have normal sizes, at least put a big sign up somewhere so I know what they are. Don't expect me to remember your tall Grande bullshit when I'm trapped in the duty-free area of an airport for five hours and just want to shove coffee and bagel in my face in a semi-lucid state.

I never realized how genius Weezer is until I sat down and actually listened.

    Brilliant, I say. Brilliant.
