Škoda in that test was in very bad condition, and it didn't have spare tire and spare tire was in this skoda part of the deformation zone there is even one video in czech that talks about all mistakes and other thing in the video.This was taken in 2005 when those cars were everywere and they wanted to get rid of them since they were old you have to look on older photos to see what i am saying.
Exactly what Eoz said, I'll just add that one video pointed out that instead of the overlap being the claimed 50%, it was more like 35-30% so pretty much none of the energy was absorbed by the front subframe beams because they were bypassed.
Why? This model reflects perfectly the reality... is there a Porsche 911 mod with front engine? I dont think so.. I was waiting for this mod to be released since the first development screens you shared here on the forums, thank YOU so much! I can imagine for most people here it's just another well done Atomix's model, but for people who know/owned this car this means much more.. it brings back memories! Also want to ask if there's any issue releasing this in the mod repository aswell in the future so even more people can download this and enjoy the beauty?
For a mod to be released into the repo, it can't have reallife names on it anywhere (Skoda badges), so the mod author would need to replace them with fictional ones
Yeah I knew about this, would understand that more if he modded car that Škoda produces nowadays though
Guys, idk what to say about this! It's totally awesome. I think it's one of the best quality mods in BeamNG at the moment, and, hope, it become the best one soon. I'm very interested in cars from Eastern Block but Zhiguli, and mostly in Skodas and Tatras, it was really nice christmas gift for me. I wondered why the hell rear acts so rebelliously and noticed one minor thing - weak slant arm and trailing arm connection causes wierd suspension geometry changes. And an idea about ...hmmm... correct ingame brand: one of the village shitheads in My Summer Car drives Svoboda - car based on Skoda 105 model from Arma 2
It was a small overlap crash test. It was a propaganda article aimed at getting the cars off the road, as said. Performance being off is known, just like a lot of bugs. its a heavy WIP.
