Hey, cool mod idea! I gave myself authorization (only for personal use, but I'm not against it becoming an official install in my car) to make installation in a new police car I modding. At the same time and make some modification to your picture files, they must be in dds format and correctly mapped to give the best visual effect (normal map and diffuse map). Probably this will be the next step of your work

 

Thanks for the tip! I converted the video and keyboard images to .dds format and edited the materials file, but i'm having trouble getting the textures to show. If you can send me the files you modified I would really appreciate it. Also, I really like the screen image you added and would love to include that as well. Feel free to use it when you go public with your mod, just add a link to this one. I'm currently working on adding a police radio.

 

Hello!

To display correctly the texture you must check the material.cs to match new dds file you created with the affected material. Normally that's all. To display a picture on the laptop' screen you must reassign in Blender the mapping for the MatVideo material.



It's only quick explanation, because today I'm a few busy.

I can do later better explanation to you if you can not get all working fine!

I send to you the modified files I made. I modify only the files in the btb_rsr folder (I do that quickly to see the result).

This mod really makes Beam police car more realistic! But since the roamer now have its own slot called "Dashboard" or "Interior", you may try to make the police equipment in there.

 

I'm very happy to see that you've updated to v.2.0. Unfortunately, the game crashes when I select this interior for Roamer. This is the result of deleting old files and clearing the cache. Is this just me?
