I have noticed,a couple easily under 13 youtubers have been playing Beam quite a bit. I think its pretty cool when maybe their dad plays it,and he lets them drive with a wheel setup or something, shown here. I also think its cool that more children are playing it on their own. I think its cool that the dad let the kid drive with the wheel,he should have him use it more often, prepare him for driving later in life. But,the main problem I have is children on the forums. Yea,they can come here, without an acc,and get a couple mods. But not make an acc and go around on some threads and spam or something. I would personally let my kid play it all day, although I don't have a kid. I'm just saying, maybe up the age-security things? And,let your kids play Beam! Just keep em off the forums. I know a couple people with kids,I suggested the game to the parents and sure enough, most love playing!
(Acc stands for account, and this might be useless but I has to get it off my head)

Letting kids play a game, that has no consequences, and at a very young age, I'd atleast say, is very smart...I have no talk about this though, I'm not even close to being a parent...

A large number of members are over 13. The main issue here is immaturity. A number of the worst members are over 13, and we've had a number of good members under 13. The issue with under 13 members is American law, which prohibits them.

I don't understand where people get the assumption that every troll/spammer is under 13. Maturity and age relate, but don't go hand in hand.

That is sadly the truth, or atleast I feel...The online friends I try talking with, can be very immature, and they are older then me...

And, I'd say, about the older members that sometimes, can't be mature...its sort of the same problem with trying to be the best (pun not intended) with being older, supposedly smarter, etc...

It really does suck that younger people are, sort of segregated as this, dumb kid that just got onto his fathers computer or something...

I will just say, BeamNG.Drive wouldn't be as big as it is now, without the younger kids making it so popular...that's how people like, WhyBeAre and Neilogical (just two examples) are bringing in the views, because its very interesting...

If you were still a kid, maybe under 12 and saw your favorite youtuber start playing this game, where you can easily play with so many cool cars, race them around, crash them...would you not want to get the game asap? You then find...what? what is this car? Its not in the game... so you find that there is a site with amazing mods! you want your parents to make you an account, they don't know what all this, mod business is about, so they make the account...

With the account, I believe that the parents still have to go into a bit of research about the site itself, and look at all of the rules...

(Don't ask why I'm trying to sound smart over here...)

YouTube channels always say raging 12-13 year old's on games such as Minecraft, Call of Duty ect.

    Edit: On topic
I think beam is a E 10+ game because their is minor violence due to cars crashing and is good practice for people trying to get their drivers licences due to the games realism. So I don't mind kids playing this game but if they go onto the forums (steam or site) they should act more mature then their age.

Crashing cars in itself isn't a reason for a rating, it's a central point to almost every toy/video game I owned between ages 2 and... well, let's not bother with the upper interval there ;)

The game probably needs a "don't try these stunts at home" though with the street racing and some of the missions/scenarios.

Sorry, America is a large percentage of BeamNG's market, thus they must abide by that law if they wish to connect there.

    Response to above:

Yes, they are, but like Fera said, America is BeamNG's most popular market. Thus, they must abide by U.S laws. U.S law states nobody under 13 is supposed to have an account for anything PERIOD. Sorry, that's just the law. I can change it nor can you.

Since when can't kids make accounts for internet stuff in America? Kids make accounts for stuff all the time in America. COPPA limits information companies can take from persons 13 and younger but legally does not limit their ability to make accounts. Companies usually use 13 as their age limit so they don't have to deal with those restrictions. Often these age limits are not even really enforced.

I don't know what the German law is but I believe BeamNG is subject to their laws for their TOS since they are a German company, regardless of their primary audience.
