This screen adds Apple car play and mirror link (that’s if the person who bought it added that as an option, otherwise it’s a simple download to a usb and updating the system to have it), it’s really important for me because since January there has been new legislation about having phones in cars, and it’s easier to have everything from my phone appear on the screen so that I won’t get pulled over.
In that case it should be totally fine, it would be different if it tried to access systems the car doesn't have but all those "smart" features will just be built into the head unit itself.
Thank you very much for helping me! I will try and buy it and see if it works. First I need to service the car and then I'll start adding stuff to the car (this screen is just a start )
So, i have my first car, a violet 1997 BMW 320i Touring, for like a week now. 1 owner, 130k km, almost completely stock and M-Package Interior + Exterior. Guess I can say I'm pretty lucky with that thing. It's in seriously good condition apart from a few rust spots (a common E36 problem) which will be fixed by professionals later this year. Today i cleaned the rims a bit to get rid of brake dust, and a bit interior. not worth to do a full cleanup with the disgusting weather we have lately :| also, have you ever seen an E36 with better fitting plates? i guess not (it's currently sitting on winter wheels btw)
cleaned this inside and tried moving it but i also found that the ground is getting soft and the sewage system under it might cave in a full 18 inch log fits right into the ground under the rear left tyre not trying to brag but since im 13 ill be paying full expense of getting it moved which is $70 plus rims tyres and custom parts.
Just carefully tow it, the Nazis had a fair bit of fun with the kubelwagen in this kind of muck and with the underside of the car being so flat (a carry over feature from the beetle so it applies here) they never really got stuck if they sunk in mud or sand
Bought another car... a pessima coupe 2.0ZX with the fancy 4WS and yes it behave exactly like the one in game.
Went to take old silver plasti-dip paint off the wheels of my truck to change over to bronze paint... Plasti-dip does not come off as easy as they say it does. 2 hours, a can of WD40, a towel, and a kitchen sponge later and I finally had the stuff off. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to actually paint, meaning that I have to leave my truck on jack stands all night. Ugh.
Ideally, somewhat like this, but with higher gloss. Also the wheels on my truck are a big bigger in size. I'd leave the rims chrome but I bought them years ago as a wheels/tires set off craigslist and the wheels are pitted and beaten to hell and back. The silver paint has just faded and gotten gross looking so I took it off. We'll see how it looks tomorrow afternoon, once the painting is done for the front wheels. The only issue is that the rear bumper is chrome because the truck failed inspection with a painted roll pan, but luckily there is no other chrome to fight with the bronze color. I'm going to go light with the metallizer first because I have a feeling too much of it will make it orange, and technically the plastidip is "copper" but going light will result in a more bronze finish. The color I'm going for is this:
I guess bronze doesn't look too bad depending on the color of the vehicle, but I still like black or dark gray wheels because they go with pretty much anything.
I had actually painted the original stockers black, but it seems like black plastidip fades really quickly. Gunmetal/slate grey is a consideration, perhaps next year. IDK how well bronze will hold up over time, although it will hide brake dust a bit better in between washes.
That picture looks so fake lmao That's really a great looking car. Also, E36 as the license plate haha
